Life can present us with various challenges, some of which we can handle effortlessly, while others leave us feeling lost and unequipped to cope. Our vision at Restoration Journey is to not only help you survive these difficult times but to thrive and emerge stronger and better equipped for life's journey.

Whether you require a few individual counseling sessions to gain perspective and additional tools or need longer-term support, our goal is to assist you on your well-being journey in a way that is tailored to your specific needs and goals.

We offer a range of workshops, small group programs, and counseling services that are available both online (Australia wide) and in person (Bendigo, Victoria). We believe that well-being encompasses physical health, mental health, emotional health, relational health, and spiritual health. Therefore, we take a holistic approach in our services.

Our services include individual counseling and couple counseling, addressing issues such as depression/anxiety, parenting and family issues (including post-separation parenting, blended families & step families), support for those impacted by a family member's mental health, and loss & grief due to life changes. We provide online counseling sessions that can be accessed from the comfort of your own home, at a time that suits you. Limited in-person sessions are also available for those in the Bendigo (VIC) region.

In addition to counseling services, we offer educational programs and support groups that provide a safe space for individuals facing similar life challenges to connect with one another. The positive impact of connecting with others and knowing you are not alone can greatly benefit your mental health. As an experienced group facilitator, I provide topic relevant information, opportunities for participants to share as they feel comfortable, and interactive learning activities.

If you are supporting an individual or family going through high-level conflict, relational challenges, family complexities, or mental health challenges, we offer consultations to help expand your skills in supporting others and finding suitable referral options for individual counseling, relationship counseling, and mental health support when needed.

Our founder, Jo Breheny, M.A.C.A (Level 2), has over 15 years of experience working in the public community well-being sector. Her expertise spans various areas including youth, parenting, family relationships, family separation, mental health, family violence, and addictions. Jo has not only supported individuals and families but has also assisted other professionals in their development.

Furthermore, Jo's involvement with pastoral care teams in churches for over 15 years has equipped her to provide Christian counseling. This option is available for those who wish to explore how faith can be incorporated into their healing journey.

At Restoration Journey, our passion to support others stems not only from our profession but also from our personal journeys. We understand the vulnerability, pain, and heartache that can arise from human brokenness, especially within relationships. However, we have also experienced the hope that comes from having others walk alongside us, offering encouragement, wisdom, and support.
