"Fantastic seafood restaurant. Extensive wine list and range of other drinks. Snapper and octopus both cooked to perfection. Crepes were probably the best I've ever had. Excellent customer service. Initially came here for oysters, but even though they were unavailable tonight we still had a great meal. Loved the suggested drink pairings for the desserts."
"Ortega was a recommendation from an Auckland chef and we were not disappointed. Firstly, the staff were exemplary, friendly, knowledgeable and everyone of them was in attendance. "Long overdue review of Ortega. This is based on when we visited in January. We are creatures of habit so we came here 2 nights in a row after a fantastic meal of seafood consisting of oyster, ceviche, mussel - definitely try the teeny weeny French toast fish sandwich - and great wine selection. Place was popular with locals since it was packed on both days. Great vibe too. Shoutout to the owner Davey and bartender Frederico for making us feel at home and for introducing us to some special wines!"
