Welcome to Sailleor Dance Co, located on Glamorgan Drive in Auckland, New Zealand. Our institution is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for dancers, with a focus on pointe work and pointe shoe fitting from a medical perspective.

Led by qualified podiatrist Astrid Wolters, who is registered with ACC, Sailleor Dance Co works closely with experts in Dance Health Medicine in New Zealand, including Georgina Barr and Esther Juon.

When you visit us for a pointe shoe fitting, Astrid will conduct a series of lower limb assessments to evaluate muscle strength, alignment, and joint range of motion. We have carefully selected MDM shoes for their high quality and Dance Base Support™, as well as a range of pointe and demi-pointe shoe brands such as Grishko, Merlet, Repetto, and Russian Pointe, which are ideal for New Zealand dancers. Our goal is to ensure that you leave with the most supportive and comfortable pointe shoes for your feet.

Please note that there is a one-off initial fitting fee, which covers the comprehensive up to 2-hour assessment and an individualized photo-based report.

It is particularly beneficial for young dancers entering into pointe work, as it aims to protect their developing growth plates, as well as for professional ballerinas.
