"After many years, I went there on Sunday. If you remember the original restaurant from years ago, don't go there now. Stay with the memories. Changing the interior design is devoid of any originality, not to mention warmth. Changes are usually made to improve something, not to break it. I took a seat by the window, table no. 29. The table top was sticky-dirty. In a moment water was served in a again sticky metal jug, by someone without a company apron but wearing a not very fresh-smelling Polo shirt. Even quite quickly the pizza was served not warm, I don't even want to guess why. Chicken Parma wasn't bad maybe because I was hungry, but it couldn't taste in such an environment. Unfortunately, another restaurant goes to the category of places you don't go to. A pity."
"Delicious breakfast by the fireplace. Eggs perfect Cheery service Quirky atmosphere."
"To be honest the pizza base appeared pre-made as it was rather thick and very uniform, rather than thin hand-made was expecting from other photos. It didn’t appear to oven-fired but rather cooked in the oven. We got the capricciosa ($26) and prosciutto ($29) and size wise was more medium than a large pizza. Flavour combo was pretty good, but pear wasn’t ripe."
"Ordered the prawn pizza, chicken bites and chips for dinner here. Pizza was nothing special, lacking the woodfire flavour (fairly certain it was oven baked). The chicken bites were overcooked and quite dry. The creme brulee for dessert was quite enjoyable, ending dinner on a higher note than mains. The menu is probably due for an upgrade too - as I ordered a bottle of San Pellegrino sparkling and was disappointing presented with sparkling water from a tap (purezza system)."
"Second time that we have been here and it’s a terrible mistake… We paid surcharge for public holiday rates and our food is over an hour late. Staff did not inform us how late the food was going to be and we had to ask them ever 20 mins. Chips where not fresh, both pasta need an extra minute and calamari was not that great. Management did not even apologise for the delay and they are just making a killing with the delay. If you ever come to Daylesford I would NOT recommend this place."
