Welcome to Old Green Bean, a charming cafe and restaurant located at 179 Lyttleton Terrace in Bendigo, Australia. As a popular point of interest in the area, we pride ourselves on offering a unique dining experience that combines delicious food, exceptional service, and a cozy atmosphere.

Whether you're looking for a quick bite on the go or a leisurely meal with friends, our all-day menu is available from 7:30 am to 2 pm for both dine-in and takeaway options. We understand that everyone has different dietary requirements, and we are more than happy to accommodate any special requests.

For those who are always on the move, we offer online ordering until 2:15 pm on weekdays and 1:15 pm on Saturdays, with orders ready for collection within 15 minutes. And if you're conscious about the environment, we proudly accept Keep Cups, where you can save 50 cents on every coffee when using your own clean cup. Additionally, we have pre-paid coffee cards available for purchase, saving you 50 cents on every takeaway coffee.

At Old Green Bean, we take pride in our coffee. We roast our own beans daily, and you can purchase them either for delivery or pick up. Our medium roast is perfect for espresso but also versatile enough to suit your preferred home brew method.

If you're not able to visit us in person, we offer regular post or express shipping through Australia Post. Your order will be posted the next business day, and you will receive a tracking number to keep you updated on its progress. Please specify in the checkout whether you would like the beans ground and for which brewing method.

"Very disappointing. We love going there but today might be the last time for a while. It used to be our go to but I’m off them after today. The weekend is the busiest time of week yet the place still turns away service just so the staff can finish on time. I often work until 1pm Saturdays and am looking for a cafe to go to for lunch afterwards. (I’m not the only person in Bendigo who this affects) On the website it says closes at 2pm….. we rock in at 1:15 (mid day) to grab a table and a quick feed/ coffee and we get turned away saying they don’t take anyone in after 1:10pm. This is an absolute joke. Today they turned away 3 others in front of us and then my partner and myself. That’s 5 more people they could’ve taken. It’s peak lunch time and they are turning people away. (Even when the place is super quiet and have tons of tables available). Terrible way to run a business! I was fuming today. We then went to another cafe and they welcomed us in, said they shut at 2pm as-well but happy to take our order straight away. We were in an out within 30 minutes. Fed, had coffee and great service. Polar opposite to what we experience ALL THE TIME at old green bean. If you shut at 1pm then change your website and don’t advertise you shut at 2."

"Perfect service at every level. Farmers breaky was just awesome, and a great spinach-based reinterpretation on the old dish that I had here previously. Coffee was great... could have had 5 of them. The mushroom toastie is one of the best toasties out... I could/would eat one every day."
