"Beautiful piece of water but currently closed due to croc sighting."
"Not a bad spot to come out to see the dam (only the lake though, you can't see the wall from here), and there are plenty of places to have a picnic in the shade, but it is not very well grassed and really is primarily a water sport location. It's definately good for that though."

"Diverted off the main highway to have a look (not too far off the main drag,) and was not disappointed. These out if the way places need lots of maintenance and it is obviously popular with the Darwin boating fraternity. Would have benefitted from better signage and access to the water, because other than the boardwalk to the toilets and the boat ramp there was not much of a chance to enjoy the serenity of the dam. Worth the diversion just for a quick look, or a kayak trip if you have one on the roof racks."
