About the Business
Welcome to Kids Vet Club (KVC), a unique Veterinary Education program offered through informal Distance Education. Located in Serpentine, southwest highway, 2715, KVC aims to introduce children from around the world to the fascinating world of veterinary studies.
Our program is designed for children and teenagers aged 10 to 18 years old who have a keen interest in animals and veterinary science. Whether they dream of becoming a veterinarian or a vet nurse, KVC is the perfect starting point for their journey.
The course is presented in a written format, allowing children to study at their own pace and in their preferred location. Whether it's at home, on vacation, or even in the car, kids have the flexibility to learn whenever and wherever they like. We have tailored the content to be easily understandable for children in the specified age group, although we do have members as young as 8 years old!
The curriculum of KVC is based on university-level studies, which means that the terminology and concepts covered are quite technical. It's important for children to be prepared for the challenge of studying veterinary science. However, if they are enthusiastic and motivated, they are more than welcome to join our program. Even teenagers who may initially think that it's just for younger kids will soon realize the value and depth of knowledge offered by KVC.
At KVC, children have the freedom to study at their own pace, with no strict time frame. They can take a week, a month, or even a year to complete a topic. They can pause their studies and resume whenever they're ready. However, it's important to note that the course must be studied sequentially, starting from Topic One. Children can order one topic at a time or as many as they wish.
Whether children are studying at school, homeschooling, or on vacation, they can start their KVC journey anytime. By filling in the Join Up form, they can order the first Topic One Learning Package, which includes a high-quality KVC folder, learning material, and their very own stethoscope and thermometer.
In Topic One, children will learn how to perform a physical examination on their own pet, understand vet office procedures, learn how to use vet equipment, and fill in vet records. Once they complete Topic One, they can order the next topic at their own pace. Subsequent topics will cover abnormal physical exams, body systems, animal handling, pet dentistry, first aid, and much more. There is always more to learn at KVC!
Our Distance Education program is available to children anywhere in the world. Learning material for Topic One is provided in a folder along with the necessary equipment. Further topics and learning material are posted to kids via Australia Post.
Please remember that topics should be studied in sequence, starting from Topic One.
Kids Vet Club is more than just a program - it's about instilling a lifelong love for learning in children whose passion for animals can develop into a fulfilling career. Join KVC today and embark on an exciting journey into the world of veterinary science!
