About the Business
Welcome to Tour Tub, the premier institution for exploring the vibrant city of Darwin, Australia. Located at 6 Bennett Street in Darwin City, Tour Tub has been showcasing the best of Darwin's sites and attractions since 1985.
As Darwin's original hop-on, hop-off bus, Tour Tub offers a unique and immersive experience. While we still have two of our iconic open-sided buses, which occasionally make appearances during our City Explorer Tour in the dry season, we primarily utilize our comfortable air-conditioned coaster buses for our regular tours, accommodating a maximum of 20 passengers.
Our 5-hour tour begins at 9am with pick-up from your city accommodation. Throughout the day, we take you to all of Darwin's major attractions, including the WWII Oil Storage Tunnels, Museum and Art Gallery of NT, Darwin Military Museum, Qantas Hangar, Fannie Bay Gaol, and Darwin Aviation Museum. On Saturdays, we even include a delicious lunch at the Parap Markets. Rest assured, all entrance fees are included in the tour package.
What sets Tour Tub apart is our expert local guide, who shares fascinating stories, facts, and antidotes about Darwin's history, heritage, and quirky characters. They are there to answer any questions you may have and provide valuable insights into Darwin and the Top End.
We understand that every traveler has unique preferences, which is why Tour Tub offers personalized and customized tours for two or more individuals. Whether you want to explore the city, visit Litchfield National Park, witness the jumping crocodiles in Adelaide River, delve into WWII history, or arrange private transfers, we are here to make it happen.
For war history enthusiasts, our Battle of Australia Tour is a must. This comprehensive full-day tour takes you to various WWII sites around Darwin, including the Cenotaph, Catalina Flying Boat Base, and the original Post Office site. You will walk through Adelaide River War Cemetery, explore Adelaide River township and WWII airfields, visit Charles Darwin National Park and Air Force displays, and end the day with a virtual reality and interactive display on the Bombing of Darwin at Stokes Hill Wharf.
Our fleet consists of deluxe four-wheel drives, 13-seat minibusses, unique open-air buses, and air-conditioned coasters. We can also accommodate larger groups on 50-seater coaches, providing a range of private and personalized options.
If you're interested in exploring the Top End's iconic pubs and learning about the characters and situations that shaped them, our Pub Tour is perfect for you. This unique tour includes door-to-door pick-up and drop-off at your accommodation, a welcome drink and snack at the world-famous Humpty Doo Hotel, a sumptuous lunch at NT's best foodie pub - Darwin River Tavern, and visits to Berry Springs Tavern and Noonamah Tavern, where you can enjoy country charm, cold beverages, and outstanding service.

Reviews
"Excellent tour all round. From the time Rohan from Tour Tub picked us up from the Novotel Darwin Airport we were treated to a very informative war time historical recollection. The attention to detail by Rohan was especially appreciative by both Wendy and I as my uncle Phill was killed in the first raid on 19/2/1942! Strongly recommend you use Tour Tub for the war tours of Darwin."
