Parap Swimming Pool 77 Ross Smith Avenue, Parap, Northern Territory 0820
About the Business
Welcome to Parap Swimming Pool, located at 77 Ross Smith Avenue in Parap, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we are dedicated to providing a fantastic recreational and leisure experience for all members of the community, regardless of their swimming abilities.
At Parap Pool, we pride ourselves on being FINA-compliant, which puts Darwin on the national map for swimming competitions, training, and events. Our facility features a 50m pool, perfect for serious swimmers and athletes, as well as a 25m pool for those looking for a more relaxed swim.
Please note that due to scheduled biannual maintenance, the 50m pool will be temporarily closed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will reschedule the maintenance as soon as parts delivery is confirmed.
During the redevelopment of the Casuarina Aquatic and Leisure Centre, we have made some changes to lane availability to ensure sufficient access for the community. Nightcliff Pool will have a minimum of 2 lanes available for public swimming at all times, while Parap Pool's 50m pool will have a minimum of 3 lanes available from 3.30-6.30pm Monday to Friday and 5 lanes at all other times. The 25m pool at Parap will have a minimum of 1 lane available during specific times.
We offer a range of programs and activities for all ages, including learn-to-swim classes and swim club training. Our entry fees and charges are the same across all our pools, and we offer concession rates for full-time NT students, Commonwealth Health Care Card holders, NT Pensioners, and Carer's Card holders.
If you're looking for some extra fun, we have Pool Inflatables available for bookings. The Kiama Pool Inflatable operates in the 50m pool and is suitable for children aged 6 years, while the My Little Dragon Pool Inflatable operates in the 25m pool and is suitable for children aged 3-8 years.
We also host several classes throughout the week, so make sure to check our Lane Availability Calendars for the current schedule. Additionally, we are proud to be the training ground for various swimming clubs. You can find information on their events and training sessions through the provided links.
We would like to acknowledge the Larrakia people as the Traditional Owners of the land and waterways in Darwin and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. We also value the cultural heritage of Darwin and encourage reconciliation between all people. Furthermore, we appreciate the contribution made by people of diverse backgrounds and cultures to the city over the years.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this period of maintenance and redevelopment. We look forward to providing you with an exceptional swimming experience at Parap Swimming Pool.

Reviews
"Nice pool!! Very professional services, lovely swimming pool for everyone, clean bathroom and shower! Very nice coaches!…..love it!!"
"While I don't mind a Ice Bath in the Dry, this pool is Temperature Regulated which I thought was pretty cool. My only complaint was the 50m pool gets closed off by a barricade at a certain time. I like swimming, but I also enjoy doing bombs, manus and dives in the 2m end. Other than that, great Pool, great price (Concession Free I think?)"
"There is a heated 25 metre pool set up for those who desire rehab, rejuvenation and enhanced mobility. Darwin is limited with hydrotherapy options. This pool is a gift!"
"Excellent outdoor pool in Darwin for lap swimming. There’s a 25m and 50m pool—I used the 50m pool and it was clean, well maintained, saltwater, and the perfect temp. There’s a huge shade structure over the complex, so no worries about getting burnt in the sun! The locker rooms were also clean and you could apparently use the lockers for free, though most people seemed to just keep their personal belongings on the pool deck. Great place to swim if you’re in town. Highly recommend!"
"It has had a pretty impressive upgrade since the last time I was here (2011) Staff at the pool are very professional and friendly. Toilets and change rooms are very different and pretty cool. Hoping to visit again next time im in Darwin"
