Reviews
"Not a bad spot. Nice flat area for setting up and leveling out. The drop toilet was surprisingly fine and not smelly. Definitely had worse in this area. Didn't try the shower though as it looked questionable. The road noise is a bit excessive and is all through the night. But for what it is I did like this place. Kids would enjoy the animal feeding and I respect the owners choice to charge for this. Its only 5$."
"It was raining when we were there this review might be a bit pessimistic… The people were nice. The location is nothing special. Peacocks walk about a lot which would be nice for the kids. The animal feeding option bis available (for a fee). There is no camp kitchen or camp laundry. There is one unisex hot shower, but the water was beautifully hot and voluminous. Only two (unisex) toilets. Take your own paper as it was always run out (and no spare rolls in the cubical. We thought it was expensive at $30 per adult per night."
"Avoid this! It is misrepresented on their website - well marketed. The reality is a rundown farm with a tightly packed in camping area, a pit toilet right in the middle, broken down and portable buildings, junk throughout and an unfriendly owner. A disappointing money making venture from this family that ruins the reputation of HipCamp. Note: we are not city folks who don't understand or like farms. We are well travelled and enjoy bush camping and roughing it. If your kids have never seen a farm animal, they will, but just have low expectations."
"The people are great they are very artsy with a really friendly personality and the range of animals are great"
"The place is very nice - very peaceful: chicken, alpacas, geese, turkeys etc. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The only things that made us a little bit upset is 1 - proximity to the road, so the traffic noise, and 2 - a couple of little guinea pigs locked in a small triangle cage opposite the toilet. The space for them is too scarce and I feel sorry for them. ((("
