Volunteers play a vital role in our institution, providing much-needed support and care to those in need. Our dedicated volunteers make a significant impact on the lives of our dialysis patients, offering transportation, engaging conversations, and a healthy distraction. We invite you to watch our video and meet one of our extraordinary volunteers, showcasing the critical work our dialysis team does for patients who require life-saving treatment.

"for a Suspected spider bite on Friday the 11.8.23 and only started flaring up on Monday 14.8.23, dizziness, nausea, so went to PHC on Thursday 17.8.23 (should’ve done a blood test to confirm) and got understandably told off for waiting so long, nurse said she would give me something for nausea and pain relief, seen more patients, forgot bout me, ending up throwing up, in sick bag luckily, clerical nurse went and got another nurse, who gave me maxalon injection straight away, took me out the back and dr James came and seen me,15 min later, gave me pain killers,an antibiotic for the night, gas and checked me over, gave me a script for antibiotics, wrote that it was suspected cellulitis Thumb, told me to go to Fiona Stanley hospital to see a surgical specialist if need surgery, half hr,went home, thankyou staff for making me as comfortable as could be, Better today"
"Do not come here unless you want to be forgotten and lied to, told you need IV overnight for possibly two full days so you organise clothing but then get told you're not staying the night. This after sitting in the 'fastrack' waiting room for over 5 hours where the only news or updates you get is if you go ask what is happening. 3 hours in ED wait room plus 5 hours and all ive had done is a cannula and 2 bloods taken, in 8 hours! Waiting here for my IV as I write this and again feel like I have been forgotten, definitely don't expect to be done here anytime soon. Extremely poor experience"
"I am amazed with the time and effort the ED staff gave me. They were very thorough with their questions and tests. When I was discharged I received referrals for more tests. The care and attention I received was nothing better than spectacular."

"My mother, June Brown, was treated in an exemplary way by all staff at Peel over the past few months. I particularly want to acknowledge the extra efforts expended by Dr Kelvin Gray in ED who followed up by ringing us at home to check her progress, Dr Muhammad Ardez in Physio/Rehab who went above and beyond, and the nurses in Whelan who were so attentive while she was under their care. Only concern is the pain she is experiencing with newly inserted catheter at home."
