Women's Health Only | Dr. Anthony Cerqui 15 Scott Street, East Toowoomba, Queensland 4350

"I've thought a lot today about leaving this review but someone from this clinic needs to know how awful the receptionist/nurse is at the ultrasound clinic. Mary Lou is lovely, but the other lady working at the Women's Health Only ultrasound clinic at 201a absolutely ruined my experience to the point where I will be asking for another clinic to perform my 20 wk morphology scan. There was some miscommunication and misunderstanding about my blood work (no fault of any of the doctors at Women's Health as I was referred externally) which could have been addressed in a much more civil manner. I was berated from the moment I walked in about both my referral and my blood test - the whole interaction from the get-go was unpleasant and rude. Mary Lou informed me that they located my blood test, which put me at ease. I left the clinic feeling a little better, but Nevada at reception called me not 15 minutes after I left while I was out getting lunch to "discuss" the matter some more. I use the word "discuss" loosely as she was needlessly rude, aggressive, had no interest in what I had to say, and seemed to not want to explain how to correct the issue. All of this could have been avoided if she'd simply said something along the lines of "I'm sorry, there was obviously a misunderstanding but you haven't got the correct blood test, could you please chat to your obstetrician and get the correct test done today or tomorrow". Instead I found myself discussing my pregnancy and blood test in the middle of a busy cafe. This person made me feel so upset and undignified, which is a shame as I was told this ultrasound clinic is the best in Toowoomba. I was genuinely looking forward to this appointment but I left feeling frustrated and upset. As I mentioned directly to her on the phone today - this is my first pregnancy and I don't know what I am doing, although I am trying my best and showing up to my appointments in good faith that I will be looked after. I can't express how awful my appointment was as a result of this individual. I've genuinely never experienced anything like this from a healthcare professional in my life."

"I started with Dr Cerqui after failures to fall pregnant naturally. Being a plus size, hopeful mum to be, I was so worried about how a Fertility Specialist would treat me due to my weight, but Dr Cerqui and his fertility nurse, Meg, made the entire experience positive. There was never a mention or focus on my weight at all. Not only do this dynamic duo have an incredible knowledge of fertility issues, as well as a well developed skill set in helping hopeful couples to get pregnant, but their patience, understanding, compassion and empathy are what really meant the most to me during the entire experience. Even once I fell pregnant, and transferred from an IVF patient to "pregnant" patient, that understanding, compassion and empathy extended through this part of our journey, as did Dr Cerqui's knowledge and skill set. I honestly couldn't have asked for a more positive experience than the one I had at Women's Health Only. From the admin staff, who offer smiles when things go well or words of comfort when things don't, to Dr Cerqui and the wonderful nurses, this practice creates a warm, safe environment for women to embark on any part of their journey to having a baby."
