"Had dinner there last night & was very disappointed.Table was sticky to touch, guessing from whatever it's cleaned with.Five us us & all ordered together. One of us wanted the entree for main which was a seafood chowder. Two garlic breads were also ordered. One bread was put on the table, then 2 main courses.Other two meals arrived as the first two were almost finished. One was a steak, over cooked & no steak knife provided.Had to go to counter for one.Asked where chowder & other garlic bread was & was told we should have ordered together,we did!! Seafood chowder still not delivered,so once again back to counter to be told that we should order together.Chicken parmiganas were very dry & overdone .Was so looking forward to our meal there before a show at the Theatre,& felt very let down ."
"Not impressed with the delivery and presentation of our cocktails. $15 each. Then to be spoken too like I don't know anything about serving drinks etc. I worked in bars in Syndey for many years while paying my way through university. King Cross was full of patrons who loved, and I mean loved, drinking cocktails. Presentation is vital. The quality and type of ingredients is also vital. Think about changing the name from cocktail to shaken spirit. 1 set of utensils for 2 meals. Meat full of fat. Chicken was lovely. I wasn't going to complain until I was treated like an uneducated simpleton. I ate room service as a guest in the Best Western, which I am staying at for a work conference. Definitely wouldn't eat here by choice from now on. Pity as the reception staff at the Best Western were friendly and professional."
"Food is not diversified and very expensive. The taste is not bad. The service is average. The staff doesn’t help too much. We had the discount for the guests who stayed in the accommodation, we thought when we paid, they did discount because they asked for the room number but not. Because the reception said did not need to book for the tram bar, I already booked. But when we came early, they said someone already booked. So frustrated. Because the tram bar, I came to eat otherwise I want to go someplace much better for food and price. (The dinner costs $90 for two) This is our experience and next time we do not want to come anymore even for accommodation and restaurants. Feel very uncomfortable for stay and meal not really enjoyed."
"Wow I mean just wow. Super friendly staff and amazing meals. I had a parmy that was as big as the plate, my partner had a steak sandwich and it was as tender as and there was 2 peices of steak not 1. Scollops also were amazing. I can't find a fault it was truly excellent"
"I went with a group of friends for a Friday drinks night and we had a wonderful evening tonight. They have wheelchair seating and wheelchair access . The atmosphere was mellow with muted lighting, we spent a relaxed couple of hrs talking and sharing drinks and a bite to eat. The lady behind the bar was very helpful to set tables and chairs for my wheelchair to move freely but our group could sit together. A big thank you for the extra help given and the professional but friendly service."
