As of May 6th, 2023, we have introduced mixed billing on weekends and public holidays. This means that a gap fee will be applicable for most appointments. We encourage you to check our fees beforehand to ensure complete transparency about the cost of your visit. However, certain services listed under the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) are still bulk billed. For more information on these services, please refer to our Services page or feel free to give us a call prior to booking your appointment.

Please note that it is essential to bring a valid Medicare card with you to your appointment. Failure to do so will result in a $60 fee being charged.

At Palmerston Medical Clinic, we prioritize your convenience and well-being. That's why we are open 7 days a week, including after hours clinics on weeknights, Saturdays, Sundays, and most public holidays. We understand that pediatric care requires specialized attention, which is why we are proud to offer the services of our specialist pediatrician, Dr. Ben Dayaratne. Dr. Dayaratne is available twice a week, on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm and Sunday afternoons from 1pm to 3pm. While a referral is not mandatory, it is preferred as it can greatly assist with the management and diagnosis of your child's condition.

Getting to our clinic is convenient, with several bus routes (70, 71, 72, 73, 77) departing from Palmerston interchange. If you reside in the northern suburbs or Darwin city, you can easily catch a bus to the Palmerston interchange.

"Close to home. Dr. Lynn has been good in providing services when we required. Dr. Iqbal is good and same goes for Dr. Roy if needed. The clinic has a very good nurse. The Centre should have more seating capacity, parking spots and more receptionists for customer service."

"Been going here for years, they are consistently running way behind schedule and reception lose medical history, as a rule I call before appointment to see how long the wait is. Generally a completely useless team across the board. Only thing they have going for them is they bulk bill however that changes august 2023"

"Staff willing to help in getting the doctor needed. They will try to make appointment to doctor requested. The best thing is that we can do tele health. Which I mean that I live in katherine and I can talk to my doctor anytime. In katherine it is difficult to get the doctor so palmerston medical center is my treating doctor. So nice and knowledgeable never under estimate the need of their patients. Because of doctors in this clinic I was able to overcome my major medical health problem."
