"I had the unfortunate experience yesterday to try and have lunch at the onsite canteen. I ordered a beef burger and paid for it, only thing was I never received it during the short lunch break that I had. The guy who served me said it would take 5 minutes but after 15 minutes still no food. When I approached the counter to enquire where it was, he said, haven't you got that burger yet? I replied No. To date, this burger remains uneaten, however, my experience has taught me a valuable lesson, and that is that I will never waste my time or money going back to the canteen again. 1 star is too many - no stars for abysmal service and absolutely hopeless."
"In an attempt to seek solutions for my chronic dry eyes - a persistent issue related to my spelunking endeavors, I erroneously ended up in a conversation with Paul Crowell, a physicist at The University of Southern Queensland. My expectations were understandably misguided, having hoped for advice on enhancing natural tear production from a department dedicated to solid-state physics and laser optics. However, the manner in which Paul handled the call is noteworthy. Throughout the call, Paul maintained professionalism and patience, politely explaining the nature of his work and its clear disconnect with the medical advice I sought. He even suggested contacting the medical school or a physiologist, and offered a commonly recommended solution of using eye drops for dry eyes. Despite my eccentric query, he treated the conversation with respect, patiently trying to guide me in the right direction. My query even extended to the use of liquid helium, to which he responsibly noted it as a cryogenic fluid and unsuitable. Though I did not find the answer I was searching for, my encounter with Paul demonstrated his professionalism and ability to handle unorthodox queries. If you have physics-related questions, he might be your go-to person. For dry eyes or medical advice, however, a medical professional is definitely a more appropriate contact."
"Totally unsatisfied with the management system of the university , its been already more than a month since they took an interview for offer letter and in few days its gonna be almost two months. But they still can't provide outcome of the offer letter wether is accepted or rejected and I keep on getting same mail that its because of the high application load. University should know time is money and it shouldn't be wasted for."
"Prioritises saving money over student experience. Took away the option to attend on-campus classes and notified students THE DAY BEFORE CLASSES WERE MEANT TO START. A clear attempt at cutting costs, and yet we're still paying and have been paying amenities fees for on-campus activities and facilities maintenance, despite not even getting to use the campus. Current lecturers don't respond to emails (I will say this is the first time I have experienced this). All this at a very crucial point in my and many other student's studies where grades and performance are extremely important."
