Our journey began in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where our founder Jimmy Shu developed a deep appreciation for Asian flavors. Today, he is one of Australia's most respected experts in this culinary art. At Hanuman, we have assembled teams of traditionally-trained chefs who combine their cooking secrets with Jimmy's contemporary take on Asian cuisine.

Since opening our doors in 1992, Hanuman Darwin has become a favorite among both locals and visitors. We offer both indoor and covered outdoor dining options, perfect for enjoying the tropical seasons. Our sister restaurant, Hanuman Alice Springs, was added to the Hanuman family in 2001. Located inside the DoubleTree by Hilton, it provides an oasis in the desert and has been serving exceptional Asian cuisine for 20 years.
