"I dropped into this gym for a class and a roll while on holidays. Unfortunately the coach canceled last minute so no class, but an upper belt said we would do open mat. I had been in contact with very friendly people over Facebook, but on arriving the vibe wasn’t very friendly. No one came to greet me or acknowledge my obviously new presence. After some time a lovely woman came in late, she was overflowing with welcoming energy. We had a roll and by this time a few more women had arrived. The mats were full of men, and to be honest, the vibe still wasn’t very nice. I can’t have been the only one of us who notice because one of the women said “let’s go down stairs and have a women’s only roll” Which we did, and it was great."
