"I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at a hotel in Townsville. When I arrived to the lobby on July 17, 2023, around 4pm, I wanted to discuss the unsatisfactory conditions of the room I was assigned. Despite informing the staff the night before about my need for a functional work desk, the room had no desk at all. I had even called ahead a few days ago to confirm the availability of a desk, for which I was advised one will be, but it was not provided as promised. Throughout the day, I made several attempts to contact the reception, but my calls went unanswered. When I raised the issue with the receptionist upon arrival, she informed me that her manager would be notified. However, no progress was made, and I was repeatedly asked to step aside to accommodate other guests, causing further delays and frustration. After an extended wait, I was eventually informed that the room was ready and a table had been installed. However, upon entering the room, I found the table to be barely functional, not stable at all and completely inadequate for my needs. This, along with other issues, such as a persistent unpleasant odor, worn-out chairs, poor lighting, and an unclean bathroom, made my stay extremely unpleasant. Oh and the fact they charge $15 a night for a NON secure parking I am deeply dissatisfied with the hotel's level of service and the overall condition of the establishment. The experience fell far below the expectations of a hotel with its rating. I feel it is important to share my experience and caution others who may consider staying at this hotel. Considering the numerous disappointments and the hotel's inability to address my concerns, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone. Potential guests should be aware of the subpar service and conditions they may encounter. I hope that by sharing my review, others will be spared from similar experiences at this hotel."

"This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was filled with mould, I had to shower with shoes on. The sink was mouldy all around it. The room smelt mouldy, the air conditioning didn't work properly and the TV only go 4 channels. The room was full of dust and I'm leaving with a cough , runny nose and feeling unwell. Laundry amenities were out of service. The bathroom door didn't close properly and was all defected. Walls were all chipped and dirty. Im glad i had my own antibacterial wipes to clean things before i touched them. Could do with a scrub down and disinfection."

"The position is great. The room we had would be the smallest I've been in. Functional but old. Vracked fittings and paint. Tied furniture. Our room wasn't ready at 2pm and they were still cleaning rooms at 4pm. Not very well though. Found plenty of dust on some shelves. Its quite noisy as well. The shower in the next room woke us up and peoplein the corridorcan be quite loud. Parking is $15 per night and is an uncovered, unsecured lot 200m around the corner. $195 for the night is way more than its worth. Interesting to note though, it's $133 for a week night. Reaping the benefits of the Cowboys game. Probably look elsewhere next time."
