"I didn't stay with Short Term Rentals, I rented a property they managed. The agents at Short Term Rentals have been unprofessional, and lack diligence and consideration to their renters. If you require action to happen, may it be for example an urgent leak in the mains water, acknowledging the two months before your lease ends or recieving your bond back in a timely manner. The agents are neither attentive to your needs nor do they review how everything is going. I am highly dissapointed by Short Term Rentals, and I suggest if you are looking for a home to rent, do not hope to receive any proffessionalism from them."

"Fantastic Business. I recently dealt with this business for short term accommodation (4 or 6 weeks) and was very impressed with how they do business. I had a couple problems at first but after I called and then popped in to the Cairns reception they sorted out my issues immediately (before I had even left the premises). Even when they make a mistake, they just sort it out and make you happy. Such a quick and professional response is hard to find these days and as a result I'd recommend this company to all my friends. ;-)"

"Have waited 2 weeks to get security deposit back and still don’t have it despite being told the property had been inspected, was all clear and that I would get my deposit back the same day I handed the keys in. I stayed in a property leased through this business for 1 month. The property was clean and suited our needs, a small maintainamce issue was attended to immeadiately, however when I handed the keys in at the end of our stay the nightmare began. I had paid a $300 security bond and was told it would be returned to my account that afternoon after the property had been inspected. One week later the money was still not in my account so I rang the business, the employee looked at the file and said the property had been inspected and all was fine but for no apparent reason my refund hadn’t been processed. She then explained that her boss (the owner) was away for a week and she was the only one able to process refunds, I asked her to ring her boss to explain this wasn’t acceptable and that I wanted the deposit returned. The employee tried all day to contact her boss and rang me at the end of the day to apologise and say the boss was not answering her phone. I asked her to leave a note on the bosses desk explaining the situation and stating that I wanted a phone call to confirm the money had been transferred first thing on the morning the boss returned. I waited another week and checked my bank on that Monday - nothing... I rang the office again asking to speak to ‘the boss’ I was told she was unavailable but that she had made the transfer that morning, I then checked my account 24 hours later, still no return and still no phone call to explain. Do not rent through this place. You will not get your security deposit back. I am now chasing this up through fair trading. BEWARE"

"Recently rented apartment with these people for 2 weeks at Sunshine Towers. The room was very basic, lacking cooking utensils and the bed was badly dipped in the middle. The sofabed had bed bugs that we had to disinfect all clothing when we got back home. The curtains were not hanging on the rails properly and there was a hole unpatched on the side on the wall near the aircon unit. There were only 1 set of bath towel, no hand or face towels. Pretty bad experience, worse than backpackers"
