"BEWARE WHEN BOOKING! We booked this accommodation 6 months in advance via Booking.com. All was fully confirmed including confirmation emails etc. We arrived at the property (in peak season as the Sydney to Hobart was on) to discover we could not get in, and rang the contact number listed on Booking.com. The woman who answered advised that she no longer owns the property and that the property is no longer used as a holiday rental. We attempted to call SMS the mobile number that was also listed, and were blocked by the user. After several hours of stress we managed to find alternative accommodation. I'm sure we are no the only ones to have booked with the previous owner - seems they didn't bother to deactivate the listing on Booking.com (and potentially other websites) when the sold the property. BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK! EDIT: The owner has commented below that I didn't read my booking.com messages. This is absolutely untrue. The booking was never cancelled and was showing as "confirmed" in the booking.com app right up until the day of arrival."
