About the Business
Welcome to Kewarra Beach, a hidden gem located just 20 minutes north of Cairns City in Australia. While it may not be as well-known as its neighboring beaches like Palm Cove and Trinity Beach, Kewarra Beach offers a unique and private experience that is cherished by the locals.
Nestled at the southern end of a long stretch of sand that encompasses Palm Cove, Clifton Beach, and itself, Kewarra Beach is a tranquil haven away from the bustling tourist crowds. The beach is protected from the southeasterly swell by a rocky headland, creating calm and clear waters that are perfect for swimming, especially for families with young children.
As you step onto the warm sand, you'll immediately notice the pristine and wide beach, inviting you to relax and soak up the sun. Kewarra Beach also provides convenient amenities such as picnic tables, play equipment, and public toilets, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable visit for everyone.
To reach Kewarra Beach, simply take the turnoff from the Captain Cook Highway marked KEWARRA and follow the road until the very end. Along the way, you'll pass a school and numerous houses, immersing yourself in the local community before arriving at a small parking lot. Leave the pavement behind and step onto the soft sand, ready to embrace the tranquility of this hidden paradise.
It's important to note that during stinger season, Kewarra Beach has a stinger net in place to protect swimmers from marine stingers. Please adhere to the safety precautions and only swim within the designated areas. Venturing outside the nets can expose you to unnecessary dangers.
While Kewarra Beach may not be as developed for tourism as other nearby beaches, its exclusivity and untouched beauty make it a truly special destination worth exploring. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or a safe and family-friendly beach, Kewarra Beach is the perfect choice. Come and experience the magic of this hidden gem on the Cairns coastline.

"Kewara Beach is mostly for dog walks although people can also come and enjoy walks here."
"Gorgeous beach, nice & quite with a lovely path & netted area for swimming. Nice little playground too, bbqs & pavilion which are kept in good condition. Beautiful spot to relax for a couple of hours."
"This beach seems to become home to more and more seedy characters over the years, dunno how else to say it, but always hearing stories from out there. Seems to be a lot of meth dealers from what I'm hearing. As for the beach access itself, council ought to rip it all out and do it again, what a horrible little car park. Trinity and palm cove still reign supreme in comparison."
"Large undercover BBQ area. Has 2 BBQs and tables undercover. Another 2 tables not undercover. It has toilets with showers and change rooms, they are a bit dingy but serviceable. Not very large so can be hard with small children. There is an outdoor washoff shower. There is a net on the beach and lifeguard shack, but beach is not regularly attended. There is a paved walkway stretching the length of the beachfront which is great for walking or cycling. Dog are allowed off lead on the beach as well. Makes this spot great for a whole family picnic."
