Reviews
"This review is based on the absolute nightmare it is trying to navigate the bloated corpse of TAFE Qld just to enroll employees at GBRIMC. If you have literally any option open to you that doesn't involve dealing with TAFE Qld, take it."
"What an excellent and awesome facility. Very well equipped and maintained training centre. Loved every second!"
"Did the Coxswains course and it was excellent. Facilities were very good, the teachers Aaron, Brent and Ash were knowledgeable, experienced and good fellas with a good sense of humour too. Louise at admin was also very helpful and made everything a breeze. Very happy I did it here and didn't fly down to Newcastle, you pick up a lot of knowledge and tips in the practical components and from class discussions. Good job."
"GBRIMC for revalidating my COP Integrated Rating. Unfortunately they do not conduct all courses as advertised on their website. Such as CPSC - Cert. Proficiency in Survival craft & Rescue Boats. Be wary of what you book into!. I did need to do the COST (Cert. of Safety Training), the layout of campus is good. The instructors I had was Taffy (sea survival) & Aaron (fire), both were great instructors, friendly blokes and very helpful. Thanks Aaron and Taffy. Do try get CPSC training going there so we on east coast don't just have the only choice but to go to AMC Launcestion. Also Hunter TAFE at Newcastle does not do CPSC training either."
"My two boys have just completed their first year of Marine Tech (school-based VET, years 11 and 12) and have absolutely loved it. They are well on the way to being industry trained and already have jobs working on the boats part time. I (and they) can highly recommend this college and the wonderful staff who run it are amazing !! 10 out of 10 for us"
