It is the only wildlife nature park or zoo in the Daintree World Heritage-listed rainforest, making it a truly unique experience.

Immerse yourself in the sounds of nature as you witness the morning chorus of awakening wildlife or the afternoon cacophony as diurnal creatures enjoy their late feed, paving the way for the nocturnal inhabitants to indulge in the nightlife.
Get hands-on with our "touchable" birds and mammals, including adorable new babies such as cassowary, emu, and dingo. Don't miss the chance to have your photo taken with "Teddy," our friendly Red Tailed Black Cockatoo, as well as our kangaroos and wallabies. While crocodile touching is strictly for our experienced staff, you can still marvel at these incredible creatures from a safe distance.

"This is a lovely family run establishment. Quite the array of Australian birds! Worth it the stop, and the owners are the most genuine honest and funniest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting."
"I worked through Helpx at the wild zoo in Daintree for 3 wks in 2012. The team I worked with were all great people the house was big and airy and clean the food was excellent even if a little past its best by. The animals all were well fed and plenty of space for them to roam. we worked half days for lodging and food which we prepared ourselves and there was plenty of it. The owners were great but being bosses they got us doing what ever was needed done. If you go there be prepared to do your part for your keep. If you dont want to work go somewhere else. Loved it. I'd go back any day."
"Really sad to see such beautiful animals neglected and no zoo keepers in site. Dingoes looked miserable ... one with an ear in need of medical attention and both under nourished ...said wallabies friendly but too scared to approach even with bags of food to feed them. This place needs to be assessed by governing authority to ensure world standards are maintained... very disappointed and felt nauseated in how this establishment treats their animals ."
"INCREDIBLY out dated and I felt the animals should never be held captive there...the price was high and I'm not sure where that money is going because it's not going into the property... only giving 2 stars instead of none because the people and animals were friendly and nice...a place like that should only house animals that have been rescued... don't doom healthy animals into captivity... house animals that wouldn't survive in the wild"
"The zoo could be charming if the animals were treated with love and respectful owners, but unfortunately they don't. I worked as a volunteer and unfortunately I have pay the price. The owners take volunteers like their slaves (40H per week for free) and treat them as such. We are treated "lazy", they dare to claim that animals die because of us (when we love animals like me it's just unacceptable level to tell me that!), we stayed in a very dirty house and we are suposed make it clean with very few resources, we are nourished with food for the trash mostly obsolete. Not to mention that the owner touches the buttocks of its girls worker without embarrassment. In short, a true social mess!"
