"We stayed at mango lagoon resort for 5 nights and loved our stay! All 4 pools were unique we enjoyed 2 full days pool hopping, and reading under palm trees. The pools are connected via little creek like streams, and when walking around the resort can hear a background noise of running water that is extremely relaxing! The gardens where kept immaculate. We stayed in a one bedroom self contained apartment room, the room was large and clean. Our room also included a full kitchen, we where able to cook some meals that saved us a lot of money and could therefore spend it on more activities such as river tubing, green islands tour, and massages. The location of the resort is a short walk to the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants. There is also a bus stop that is conveniently out the front of the resort, we took the 110 bus a few stops to Coles supermarket, and a $4.50 bus trip into cairns a couple of times. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, we ran out of sunscreen one day and the lady at reception let us use theirs. Also, a special shout out to Steven who kept the gardens and pools tidy, he gave us heaps of recommendations that we tried and loved his suggestions about green island, cairns night market and music playlists. We have already recommended mango lagoon resort to friends and family for their next holiday! 5 stars rating from us, we can’t find anything to fault. Thank you for the much needed holiday!"
"I booked the budget room (Room 23B) and it was comfortable enough and good price, but due to the inefficient fan in the bathroom, the room has a mouldy smell, it wasn't ideal but you get used to it after being in the room for a while. The shower also wasn't great, it was a small stream due to the design of the showerhead. I didn't get to use the pools but they do look very nice. Couldn't get a carpark in the resort grounds, had to park on the street."
"I want to thank the staff at mango resort for my stay, especially Karen who made me feel welcome and arranged my shuttles and trips. Even the man working in the gardens was friendly and greet me all the time."
"Absolutely terrible!!! The room was so small and cramped, and it smelled very strongly of mould. We advised the reception about the smell, but they refused to do anything. No car park available, we had to park on the street. Internet didn't work. The shower was one narrow stream of water, and the pressure dropped after 1-2 mins. One of the worst places I've ever stayed in. Would not recommend."
"Stayed at the resort over the Easter long weekend with our 2 little girls and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Amazing facilities, the pools are a must when with little ones, staff are super friendly and welcoming. Located an easy walk ( kid friendly distance) from Palm Cove main St. Will definitely be back."
