"Unfortunately I had a consult booked for 9am today.. I received a message Sunday confirming the same. I was then waiting at the Smithfield salon at 8.50 on my appt day when I received a text saying my appointment had been changed. I replied immediately, asking details and waited 20 minutes for a response. I never received one so I called the salon twice. First no answer. Second phone call was answered at 9.10am and to say I was disappointed by the passive aggressive nature of the call is an understatement. I was told they tried calling me twice yesterday (I only had one missed call from an unknown number) to change my appointment time and was also told they left a voicemail - unfortunately I didn’t receive this as I don’t have voicemail set up on my phone. I’m a shift worker and was unable to answer my phone at work when they rang the previous day. I understand the hairdresser I was meant to be seeing was sick, and that’s fine, it happens. But to receive one phone call that I wasn’t able to answer and no follow up message until 10 minutes before my appointment and then be treated as though I’m stupid over the phone and it made out to be my fault is pretty poor business. I received one “sorry, but I did try to contact you” which doesn’t actually insinuate a genuine apology, it’s just passing the blame. I actually never leave bad reviews about businesses because I understand things happen that are beyond our control, but the way the owner spoke to me and dismissed me over poor communication on their part has left a sour taste in my mouth with this business and I’ll be taking my money elsewhere. I wish them all the best."

"I have been seeing Amie for the last few years now and she has brought my hair back to life! My hair health has never been better! She is so knowledgeable and I really appreciate her in depth knowledge and advice on specific goals/expectations/hair care. I suffer from psoriasis on my scalp and she is always sensitive around this and has put me on to the best products that have calmed the inflammation. Amie always conducts herself professionally and makes you feel so welcomed in the salon. I always walk out so happy with my results and I’ve found over the last few visits that my colour is holding so much better and my hair isn’t throwing so much copper.
