About the Business
Welcome to Chatswood Road Medical Centre, conveniently located in the heart of Springwood, Australia. As an establishment dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services, we take pride in offering a wide range of medical treatments and services to our valued patients.
For many years, we have been committed to bulk billing the majority of our patients. However, in order to continue delivering the highest quality of care by our esteemed Doctors and Registered Nurses, we have made the difficult decision to introduce a gap fee for certain services. This adjustment has become necessary due to the increasing costs associated with operating an accredited Medical Centre without a corresponding increase in the Medicare rebate.
To ensure a seamless payment process, we kindly request that payment be made at the time of your consultation. For your convenience, we offer Eftpos and credit card facilities. We also recommend registering your bank details with Medicare, allowing for direct rebate credits to your account within a short period of time, typically one or two days. You can easily complete this process through your MyGov account or by contacting Medicare directly at 132011.
It is important to note that individuals who are not eligible for Medicare can still receive a free COVID-19 vaccination service at a General Practitioner-led Respiratory Clinic or at a state or territory vaccination clinic. Here at Chatswood Road Medical Centre, we are proud to offer COVID vaccinations to individuals aged 5 and older.
Situated within the vibrant Chatswood Central Shopping Centre, our mixed billing surgery is open 7 days a week to accommodate the diverse needs of our community. Whether you are a new patient or a returning one, our team of both female and male Doctors warmly welcome you.
Visit us today at Chatswood Central Shopping Centre, located at 30-34 Chatswood Road, Springwood, Q 4127. Experience the exceptional care and convenience that Chatswood Road Medical Centre has to offer.

"As a first time patient here, I found the reception staff very polite and helpful. My appointment was on time and the Dr was very thorough. Practice and clean with plenty of seating. Happy to recommend this practice."
"I am not happy. All I ask for is to speak to a doc ,bulk bill as I have a cold and don't want to come in to surgery. I was told that they don't bulk bill . I asked why then does it say your surgery on Google is a half pay up front and half bulk bill.i was told that 2 of the Drs would bulk bill ,BUT only if I was a regular patient of theirs. So I informed the receptionist that I had been a patient for over 20yrs. She asked my name and informed me that I hadn't been to see a doctor for a while so I didn't qualify .not impressed at all. I'm sorry but greed is a sin. God bless all of you."
"Been going here for over 10 years bulk billing. Now have moved to private billing and can't afford it. Doctors don't even have respect for each other. Definitely rushing. A fast food service well over priced. Don't bother. Time to find new Doctors that care."
"This medical centre needs to improve their customer service and quality of care. Not only are we being charged for each appointment now, but the doctors seem to be rushing us out of there which brings into question the value of the appointments. There are some good doctors here but they are usually pretty booked up. I have been to this medical center all my life and have only just now for the first time considered trying a new practice due to it's downfall in quality."
"There are some very good Drs here but let down by poor administration and reception staff who can be unhelpful at times. I had nothing but good to say about this practice where I have been for 10 years but for some reason, it has gone down hill in the last six months. My Dr no longer bulk bills but no notice was sent to patients, and when I left the surgery after an appointment was rung up to get payment as though I'd deliberately not paid and when I said I didn't know she was now not bulk billing, I just got a condescending comment that she's been doing it for 3 months. Also to wait a month for a Care Plan appointment is unacceptable. It's a general surgery not a specialist service. If nursing staff are booked up a month in advance then you don't have enough nurses. Or is it a matter of priorities because the plans are bulk billed."
