About the Business
Welcome to Al Zahra School, a non-profit institution located in Karawatha, Australia. Established in 2016 by a group of dedicated volunteers, Al Zahra School aims to provide Arabic language education to our community's daughters. We are proud to announce that Al Zahra School has been officially registered as an Arabic school in 2022.
Based in Brisbane, Al Zahra School is an education association that offers Arabic classes for all ages and levels, ranging from prep to grade 6. Our curriculum covers everything from learning the Arabic alphabet to understanding classical and regional Arabic. We believe that our students not only learn a language but also immerse themselves in the rich Arabic culture.
All of our classes are taught by native Arabic speakers who are experienced in teaching Arabic as a foreign language. This ensures that our students not only learn to read and write Arabic but also appreciate the beauty of the language within an Arabic environment.
Arabic is one of the world's major languages, and learning it can open up a world of opportunities. Whether your goal is to communicate more effectively, travel with ease, discover new cultures, connect with relatives, or broaden your worldview, learning another language can be a rewarding pursuit.
At Al Zahra School, we start teaching girls from prep until grade 6, focusing on reading, writing, and improving their overall understanding of the Arabic language. We also provide support and practice for students who wish to take the Arabic test in grade 12.
In addition to our regular classes, we host various events throughout the year for our students, including end-of-term celebrations and community events. These events provide an opportunity for our students to showcase their language skills and immerse themselves in the Arabic culture.
We offer a specialized curriculum for young children and youth, designed to introduce them to the Arabic language from an early age. Our teaching method is fun and interactive, focusing on crucial language skills such as listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar.
At Al Zahra School, we accept girls from the age of 5 and place them in classes that suit their cognitive level after a placement test conducted by our teachers. It is important to note that our school is not-for-profit, but we charge a nominal fee of $100 per year to cover each student's resources. We also offer a discount for second and third children.
