"Such a pleasurable stay. Sue was an amazing host and her customer service is market leading. Great value for money and a perfect place for us to stay while we moved house. Thanks very much"
"Location was beautiful & tranquil and very peaceful. Sue was very friendly & polite The room was very comfortable but the room service was poor. We weren’t greeted on arrival and there was no one around to speak to in the morning as guests in the guesthouse. We paid for a guesthouse room and we were disappointed we didn’t receive breakfast as we had booked a B & B accomodation and when asked we were told they don’t do breakfast anymore and directed us into town to buy it when it was advertised on the website. Our shower leaked a lot of water in the bathroom and when we called to notify management we were advised to shower in the corner of the shower. Not the best. The water was very dirty and not suitable for drinking, there was no clean water in the room. We were told the room would be serviced however it wasn’t we didn’t have any clean coffee cups or glasses to drink from. Our room was however extremely comfortable, restful and relaxing. The villas seem to be popular however the guesthouse is needing attention and a management presence to be a guesthouse."
"I wasn’t going to post a review but decided to share the feedback. First, the location is beautiful and an easy drive from Brisbane or the GC. My interaction with Sue was delightful and she was very accommodating. I brought my 90 year old mum and two of her besties up for a ladies high tea. Unfortunately the food wasn’t very good at all and I was disappointed. I feel bad writing this as Sue was so lovely but for $70 a head (we had the glass of bubbly) I’d expect a better quality. The little vegetarian tartlets were over cooked and dry; the brownies were gluggy; the tiny scones tasted like they’d been frozen and reheated; the orange cake was nice, as were the sandwich fillings albeit the bread was all squashed not soft and fluffy like I’ve had elsewhere. It was very busy and Sue was a lovely hostess. I think revisiting the food quality would be helpful. As a safety note: the venue is not very accessible for people with a physical disability or elderly. For example, there are trip hazards on the uneven flooring; there’s small ‘speed bumps’ across the hallway floor to the bathroom that could easily trip a less able bodied or vision impaired person; and the 3-4 steps at the front door are a deeper riser than standard and there’s no railing and a fall would be on to a hard concrete driveway. I was really worried for my 3 older ladies getting in and out of the venue. Installing a hand rail would be relatively inexpensive and likely mitigate the risk to a degree."
"Such a nice place for relaxing we only spent one night in a deluxe room. But have to say one of the best I have stayed in a while, clean, new, and everything you need and view out our window of the forest was magical, so quiet, I feel fully rested wish we could stay longer."
"Used to be great. Grounds need attention. No restaurant, no high Tea as advertised. Cabins are clean neat and tidy. Aspect is very bush oriented and tranquil. Lack of wildlife with a few birds and some frogs. Calls to reception took hours for answers. Basically what you get is cabin in the bush with no frills. Expensive @ $ 290 a night then after travelling you find that there are No facilities for food drinks and a lack of associated atmosphere . Won't be back"
