"We sought advice from a NuTech agent regarding painting our concrete driveway, advising that it was stamped concrete, about 40 years old. We were advised that 'Pavecoat' paint by NuTech would be the best product to use. We outlaid $600+ for the paint and thinners and followed their instructions to the letter. Initially, we were happy with the finished product however our satisfaction did not last long as, after a few months, the paint started peeling off. My wife went and bought another 20 litre can of paint at a cost of about $260 to try and rectify the peeling. This was to no avail and the peeling became more widespread. We then contacted the agent and a NuTech representative responded quite quickly and came to the house and inspected the driveway. No real solution was offered but, after expressing my dissatisfaction, they stated they would send a sample to a specialist in Melbourne for analysis. The upshot of this was a recommendation to apply a 'reactivator' to the driveway and then paint it again, all at our cost. I expressed my dissatisfaction that, after their agent recommended their product that simply did not work, we should not be out of pocket to rectify the situation. After considerable negotiation, they offered the product at a reduced price and I was forced to accept, as the driveway continued to degrade. The cost of the extra product was $400+. So, up to now, the driveway has cost over $1200, we still have to provide the labour to rectify the problem and there is no guarantee it will work. I should add that this whole process took months. The NuTech representative continually failed to respond to messages and failed to keep his promises to ring or provide necessary information. I had to chase him constantly, just to get a reply. No apology was ever offered for the poor customer service. So, in summary, if you are contemplating painting a driveway over 40 years old, think very carefully before purchasing this product. If you have a problem with the product, do not expect to be treated like a valued customer."
