"It's a takeaway fish and chips so you wouldn't expect a romantic dinner with candles, the service is alright for that matter too, don't make you feel like strangers but don't flow your socks off. The fish batter, the chips and calamari are excellent. If you don't quickly absorb the oil as they serve you they will be too oily and soaky but if you prepare paper towel and ensure it's rest properly, it's one of the best fish and chips. I would recommend the owners to ensure fish and chips are rest properly, not serving them with massive amount of oil in the box."
"We order the family feast a lot and often I pay for extra seafood sticks. The pack comes standard with 4 seafood sticks, I purchased an extra 2 and only received 2 in the end. Not only that the pack also states 6 seafood bites, only counted 4. They missed the tartare sauce altogether and when I called to let them know this had happened, no answer, phone lines keep ringing. There’s always new kids working at the front counter too and aren’t very well trained about the products. Won’t be back. They cheat you!"
"Buckle up for why i am boycotting this establishment. Dont worry i matched his pettiness in the argument over the phone by yelling in frustration. Ive had better outcomes with 4 yr old children who missed nap time. So im worried they would apit or do something to my food. Also correction, it was the manager i dealt with not just a staff member. Edit: i ordered again through fish depot in hopes of a better experience. How i was wrong, the male staff member asked if i would chqnge my review because they made sure the order was correct this time. I replied that it would take more than just one correct order for that to happen. Meaning that when i have more positive and correct experiences than i will change my review to match that. No, as i walked away he decided it was smart to make the snark remark "thanks for the one star review". I just spent 14minutes literally arguing with that staff member over the phone about his comment, he expressed that i shouldnt be upset over a piece of lemon. After explaining several times, he did not understand that i was annoyed from the previous experience that they dont actually close at 8pm (he made it clear it is my fault that i pick up my order 4 minutes before 8pm) which i dont understand how that effects them trading til 8pm like advertised? In the end, "its not called for my one star review" because they close their kitchen 10minutes before end of trading hours (trading hours option can be times may vary) and when a customer has specifically asked for lemon with their order and was even reassured this but then gets home and sees that no this is not the case. Instead of bettering their customer service skills, communication, advertisement etc they think it is better to have a staff member argue why a customer is wrong to feel the way they do and voice it on google review. Original post: Wasted my time driving there to find that's they dont actually trade til 8pm. Thought id give them another chance a called to pre order, i asked if lemon comes with my fish order and i was told yes. Drove all the way home to realise no it does not. So call to make sure they are open and double check your food."
"Hamburger combo $14.45. Calamari and chips $11. Chips and calamari were very good, burger was just decent. Prices arent too bad. Would give 4.5 stars"
"Standard has dropped and prices are up!!!!! Was a joke!!!! On what planet does a steak burger with the lot just mean extra bacon and egg with no cheese and beetroot or pineapple even Than charge $15. We got burger with the lot $5 chips and a regular salad that had one and a half prawns cut in half and it came to $29 Feeding frenzy just down the road has never disappointed. Thought I would just go here because it was convenient, should have known better."
