Welcome to Dr Anjali Rajapaksa's medical practice located at 67 Smith Street, Wollongong, Australia. We are delighted to announce that the 2023 flu vaccines will be available at our practice from April 2023. Starting from 11th April 2023, we will be accepting appointments for flu vaccinations.

It is particularly important for individuals at higher risk, such as young children, pregnant women, and those with certain medical conditions, to receive the flu vaccine.

In addition to our flu vaccination services, we provide a range of comprehensive healthcare services for women. We offer resources and support for women's health issues, including information from the Australian Women's Health Network, the Department of Health's Maternal and Infant Health, Women's Cancer Screening, and Women's Health Statistics.

For men's health, we offer a wide range of services including Well Man Checks, Sexual Health Advice, Family Planning Advice, Smoking, Drug and Alcohol Management, and Mental Health Care.

Our institution also provides comprehensive healthcare services for older individuals. We offer Preventive Care, Healthy Lifestyle Checks, Immunizations (including Influenza, Pneumococcal, and Shingles vaccines), Mental Health Care, Advanced Care Planning, and participation in Multidisciplinary Case Conferences and Palliative Care.

We understand the importance of prioritizing children's health, and therefore, we prioritize appointments for children with acute illnesses, fevers, rashes, vomiting, diarrhea, and injuries. Our comprehensive range of baby and children's health services includes regular healthy child checks based on the NSW Personal Health Record ("Blue Book") from newborn to age 4.

At Wollongong Family Practice, we also offer preventive health checks for all ages, aiming to detect and modify lifestyle risk factors to prevent or delay the onset of chronic diseases. Our health checks provide an opportunity to discuss healthy lifestyles and early intervention strategies with your doctor.

If you are planning to travel, our institution provides comprehensive travel health advice and vaccinations. We assess your vaccination and medication needs based on your medical history and travel itinerary, offer disease prevention advice, and provide guidance on travel first-aid kits and managing existing medical conditions while overseas.

Mental health is a priority for us, and we offer a comprehensive range of mental health services, including assessments, referrals to private allied health providers, community mental health programs, medication management, and the coordination of GP Mental Health Care Plans.

For your convenience, we offer a variety of vaccinations and injections on-site, including baby and childhood immunizations, high school catch-up vaccines, annual influenza vaccination (free for eligible patients), pneumococcal vaccinations (free for eligible patients), and the shingles vaccine.

Please note that fees for standard consultations are payable at the time of the consultation and can be paid in cash, through EFTPOS, or by credit card (excluding American Express). We can electronically transmit your claim to Medicare, ensuring that your rebate is directly deposited into your bank account.
