In August 2021, we were awarded the contract to launch a trial commuter ferry service between Bellerive and Hobart, and it has surpassed all expectations!

During the first year of the trial, we proudly transported over 110,000 passengers, providing a convenient and efficient mode of transportation for the people of Hobart. We are truly privileged to offer this service and contribute to the community's mobility needs. To encourage passengers to try our new service and integrate it with active or public transport, we offered free rides for the first year to those with a Greencard, bicycle, or e-scooter. This incentive has allowed us to introduce the ferry as a viable public transport option for the longer term. The Tasmanian Government is currently evaluating the service's success and considering its permanent inclusion in the public transport network.

In August 2022, we entered another phase of the trial, introducing fares equivalent to those of a Metro Tasmania bus fare. Utilizing the same Greencard system used on Metro buses, we aim to simplify the payment process for our valued passengers.
