Welcome to the ATSICHS Browns Plains Medical Clinic, located at 20-24 Commerce Drive in Browns Plains, Australia. As an establishment dedicated to health and wellbeing, we are a point of interest for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Brisbane and Logan regions.

ATSICHS Brisbane is a not-for-profit community-owned organization that focuses on delivering unique healthcare and human services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in greater Brisbane and Logan. Our comprehensive range of services includes medical and dental clinics, child and family health services, youth services, social and emotional wellbeing programs, a midwifery hub, an aged care facility, and various family and child support services such as child protection, family wellbeing services, kindergarten programs, and a child and family center.

We recently celebrated our 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner at Brisbane City Hall on May 13, 2023. The event was a grand celebration of 50 years of dedicated service to our community, attended by distinguished guests including the Honorable Leeanne Enoch MP, Minister for Communities and Housing, Minister for the Digital Economy, and Minister for the Arts.

In this week's spotlight, we are highlighting our Youth Services team. We had the opportunity to chat with Outreach Manager Pita, who shared insights into his role and the importance of supporting our young people. Pita, a Brisbane native, has firsthand experience growing up in New and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young individuals.

We are also proud to share the success story of Kane, a proud Torres Strait Islander and recipient of the Young, Black and Proud Scholarship. Kane's scholarship has opened doors for him, allowing him to represent Australia in the World Distance Championships as part of the Australian Under 16s Outrigging team in Samoa. This achievement showcases how our support can empower individuals to reach their full potential.

ATSICHS Brisbane acknowledges and pays respect to the Turrbal, Yuggera, and Yugambeh people as the Traditional Custodians of the Country where we operate. We honor and remember the Elders, both past and present, and recognize the importance of their wisdom and guidance.
