"Had my car serviced recently, and not for the first time. I brought my car to this mechanic as I love my Subaru despite it being 21 y.o. Noticed staff always had attitude when I raise an issue, as if staying what do you expect from a car this old. It was once suggested I bring it to someone else to repair cheaper. That never bothered me as I would rather pay a bit more but have it run smooth. Last service was done on 7/7. Following the service the dashboard lights stopped working and I noticed it while I was still there. Check your cameras to see how long I sat in the car turning my lights on and off as it appears to be somehow connected to my dashboard lights. The problem is it was after 5pm and I was running late to pick up an order. I emailed less than 30 minutes later due to the time of day and not having time to go back into the office to raise it. Never heard back or had my email acknowledged. Now I drive in the dark not being able to see the speed I'm driving with unless I use a bicycle light to light up the dash. On top of that I was meant to have some parts ordered worth $30 and was supposed to take a week to get them. 4 weeks later I have no parts, probably never been ordered thinking I won't bother pick them up. Unprofessional."
"Was about to order a new Crosstrek but will never buy another Subaru, after false charges on their service invoice. Not the first time I’ve noted parts that definitely weren’t replaced; an obsolete part number listed for one obscure item and another was for a later model so would not have fit my vehicle. Had to chase up the promised refund three times while they made different excuses. Check your invoices line by line and question everything!"
"Outstanding customer service! 5 Star! Halfway between Wynyard and Hobart, all of the warning lights on our 2021 Outback were activated - highly stressful having to drive for 1.5 hours not knowing what was wrong and if we would make it into Hobart. Thankfully we did! We drove straight into the Service Centre where the service team immediately took control - even though they were very busy and close to closing. The issue was isolated in no time and rectified by 0830 next morning. Before I left the Service Centre, Callum showed me the cause of the malfunction and how to fix it if it occurs again Brett, Tim, and Callum were polished, professional. Their immediate attention to our issue and their personalised service will be long remembered. We were able to return home that afternoon, on schedule, and the Outback performed brilliantly again. A huge shout out to Brett, Tim, and Callum. Clive and Wendy Barrett Wynyard"
"I’ve recently two warnings lights come on after changing a flat tire in my Forrester. We have followed the instructions in Subaru owner’s manual which suggest one of the warning lights could be a serious issue and to call the dealer immediately. I called this morning to be told while someone might not be able to fix the car today it would be looked and at a minimum we would be provided with advice. I thought great that sounds reasonable. I live a 2 hour round trip from the only Subaru service centre in Hobart. I arrived this morning to a young woman who didn’t identify who she was or what her role was. After explaining the above I was flatly told we wouldn’t been seen today. I was asked what the PSI of the tires was. I didn’t know as my partner had checked the tires and I was unable to get a hold of him. I was told twice I would need to inform the service centre what the PSI of the tires was (while actually in a service centre) before she would help. Despite no one looking at the car, the young woman told me it was safe to drive and I would have to wait six weeks for it to be looked at. Not only was this extremely poor customer service I left the service centre not knowing if my car is actually safe to drive with two young children. Incredibly frustrating to be told via phone to bring the car in and then be turned away without help."
