"Delicious food and lovely service. Best part is that they serve halal food. A lot of vegetarian options as well but a little pricey. We will be back again when in town."
"First time visiting the restaurant. The food was good, very well plated , although a bit expensive for the quantity given. The service wasn’t at par with food. Given we mentioned that we traveled almost 2 hours to just come try this new restaurant, the servers were least interested in providing any options or asking if we wanted to try something. The place was 50% occupied, on a Sunday evening. Which provided opportunity for the restaurant crew to interact, but they didn’t. Would definitely recommend fish moilee, it was super yum! The aam panna mocktail was disappointing, very less flavor. We asked for deserts, specifically for malpua. The server checked and said its not available, but hardly engaged in providing other options. For Lorne, this is a great option. We have definitely tasted similar or better food with much better service"
"Food is plentiful, well presented, very tasty and has a good amount of spice. Adi the owner is lovely, very helpful and makes great meal recommendations. The chef, Jitesh, came out and met with us at our recent dinner here to seek our feedback on some new dishes which we very much appreciated and we enjoyed trying his new dishes. Food normally comes out in a reasonable time frame and the staff we dealt with were knowledgeable and approachable. Serving sizes are large so we often have to take food away with us. Have eaten here many times and look forward to returning again. The Indian food here is not your standard fare. It is creative, modern, and super tasty. It's very different and a breath of fresh air for indian cuisine."
"As an Australian-Indian, it is hard for me to find a restaurant that serves authentic Indian food. Imagine my surprise when my husband & I decided to dine at Raas Leela in Lorne. It was a cold night with a relentless drizzle. The ambience in Raas Leela was welcoming & inviting. We started with a cocktail recommend by Ryan but got hooked on to the warm mulled wine with a hint of spice- suggested by co-owner Aditi. We had a huge spread of appetizers including prawns, lamb, samosa- like I've never eaten before & their own version of pav bhaji- which was a totally unexpected & delicious surprise. The lamb shank & dal makhani were a culinary delight as was the chur chur naan. After several glasses of the mulled wine and an animated conversation with Aditi we moved on to the desserts- suggested by the chef. We thoroughly enjoyed the warm gajjar halwa & malpua and a very satisfying faluda. As a Hyderabadi I find it hard to enjoy food outside our home ( we are very proud of our Hyderabadi food !) However, the food at Raas Leela was full of flavour, delicious, satisfying & the servings were generous and the staff friendly. We cannot wait to come back again- hopefully with our friends. Thank you team Raas Leela for a wonderful culinary experience. Hepsibah"
"Good location. Opposite the beach. The staff were really good and polite. Service was quick. Not many vegetarian dishes. Naan were & Dal makani was good. Overall good taste. Price we're almost double than any other Indian restaurant. E.g. roti $8, karahi paneer $28."
