Welcome to Ipsos Restaurant & Bar, a renowned dining establishment located in Lorne, along the breathtaking Great Ocean Road in Australia. Known for its refined yet authentic take on traditional Greek cuisine, Ipsos is not your average Greek taverna. Instead, it offers a modern adaptation of the homely Greek cooking found in the villages of mainland Greece, all within a contemporary Australian context.

Steeped in history, Ipsos Restaurant & Bar was once the site of the famous Kosta's Restaurant, run by Pam and Kosta Talimanidis from 1976 to 2003. In November 2015, after a 12-year hiatus, Pam and Kosta, alongside their son Dominic, returned to continue the tradition of exceptional dining experiences on the Great Ocean Road that spans nearly five decades. Their dedication and passion have earned Ipsos Restaurant a prestigious one hat status from The Age Good Food Guide from 2019 through to 2023.
Our menu at Ipsos is a fusion of flavors inspired by Greece, the Mediterranean, and Asia Minor. Pam Talimanidis, the culinary mastermind behind our dishes, expertly combines traditional techniques with modern influences. The result is a collection of stylish yet homely dishes that pay homage to tradition while embracing innovation. As Dominic Talimanidis, Pam and Kosta's son, puts it, "Simple, seasonal, and fresh. Just like the food we eat at home. This is a family restaurant that provides great experiences for customers, but also for us."

"Cracking experience, was recommended by the hotel we was staying at the Mantra, walked in, busy but lots of space for us, staff very welcoming, recommendations were passed on and nightly specials, which we love...... Went for the lamb shoulder and roast potatoes, lamb shoulder was impeccable, roast potatoes were assumingly deep fried? Not my first choice but all told spot on. Only thing I'd change is the paying the bill and the "Tip" explanation, I felt for a meal that was already for 2 @ $140+ we had paid our dues to a local thriving business, I'd leave it to the customer to make the choice, it felt akward to be honest. Apart from that it felt Greek, it felt real, we felt like a valued customer, would 100% come back, the staff are almost tripping over themselves to assist you with everything. Thanks guys and girls! "if you are craving for Greek food in Lorne this is the place to be. The food was delicious and the staffs are accomodating. Calamari is the winner dish and highly recommend the haloumi as well. Overall our dining experience is great. It can be loud during summer season, try to get a sit outdoor."
"We got the chef's selection and it was PLENTY of food for two people! Moreover, the taste of each dish was delicious. Great flavours and generous portions. It was a little noisy and the waitress forgot my wine for awhile, but it was full house so quite understandable. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and dining experience!"
