"Great service the young girl helped us with our purchase of snorkelling fins for my son and I. On the pricey side, but you expect that from a dive shop. Fins worked well. Thank you Fyi- It was a little hard to find because of the construction site next door."
"If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I did my Open Water certification with the crew at Shellharbour Scuba in January and I felt completely comfortable with the instructors in the water. I was trained by Stuart and Joel and both were amazing. They really want you to have the best experience and learn as much as you can in the 3 day course. Even down to the little requests, such as me not being the first to do a certain skill in the water because I was a bit nervous and knew I was going to have a little trouble. Of course this was no problem for them and they're super encouraging when you overcome the hurdles. The good thing about Shellharbour Scuba is that they have dive instructors with various different interests and specialties when it comes to diving, so there is plenty of potential for further training with them when you are ready for that. Their gear is top notch and Mick, the owner, can get you a very good deal when you purchase all your own gear, and you can even do an afterpay sort of thing with them so you can own the equipment now and pay it off later. The dive sites for the weekend social dives and Open Water training dives, The Gutter and Bushranger's Bay, are both spectacular sites with a never-ending list of species, my favourites being the Grey Nurse Sharks (which you will see plenty of in Bushranger's Bay) and plenty of different stingrays. Every dive I do at The Gutter reveals a new marine animal I hadn't seen before. You can't go wrong if you decide to train and dive with these guys. 11/10."
"A fantastic experience from start to finish. I did a Saturday morning social dive and it was wonderful. The team in the shop really know their stuff, and they sort out all your gear, and load it into their truck for you. The dive was just off "The Gutter", a small inlet that you do a shore entry into. During the dive I saw tons of amazing fish that I hadn't seen anywhere else in Australia, including a Weedy Sea Dragon, a tiny sea horse, and an octopus guarding her eggs inside a little cave. After the dive, the truck is equipped with a hot water heater, so you can have a warm shower right there in the carpark! Mick, our divemaster, was terrific, super friendly, calm, and caring about us during the dive. He's done thousands of dives in that area, knew it like the back of his hand, and was keen to share his knowledge. I can't wait to go back and dive with the team again."
"We had an awesome day diving with Craig and Mick at the gutter! All the staff at the dive shop are really lovely and helpful, so the whole day was a fantastic experience. Using the scooters on the second dive was great fun, a really new experience!.. Thanks everyone!"
