"The Buffet at the Tasman Hotel is one of the best ones i have experienced in Hobart. The Huge area with Coffee/Bar, Open Kitchen is amazing Addition to the vibe of the Hotel. The advertised price of 35 is wrong as i was charged 45 for the Meal but the products were Amazing and i had a Feast. Also Egg station means just egg prepared your way not a chef preparing egg with assorted selection which was a let down. overall an amazing Experience, Totally a Must visit just for the Vibes alone."

"It’s with a heavy heart that I write this review and give 1 out of five stars. I don't normally write negative reviews. I have called at least four times and apparently had messages left for the reservations team to call me back, I don’t think they are getting the messages. I spoke to Shavarni (not sure it’s the correct spelling) on my last call 11.7.23, it was clear she was distracted on the phone conversation based on the responses she was giving. I asked to speak to or for the hotel manager to give me a call and she advised she was the manager. I persisted with the phone conversation, she was going to investigate why I had not been called back numerous times, no response as yet. The team member was sending me a booking confirmation on 11.7.23, we updated my email going over it several times and spelling it out, no booking confirmation as yet to my new email that we went through, unfortunately as we were booking multiple rooms for multiple dates we need to speak to the reservations team to do the one booking. Given the rating and my experience you may think why would you want to stay at the hotel. We have stayed and had a family function at The Tasman before and once you’re in the hotel, the experience of the staff is amazing, the attention to detail was in the top ten in the world, big call but yes (excluding the experience recently) the room, view and food are one you will remember for years to come. the experience was that amazing last time I even took the time to write a thank you letter to the hotel. I’m hoping in 12 months my current experience is not a reflection of the hotel new standard."

"I found entire experience of staying at the Tasman, to be excellent. The team are very courteous, professional and helpful. The room we stayed in was luxurious, comfortable and beautifully appointed. The location of the hotel is excellent as a base to explore around Hobart. To be honest I was a little sad to leave. Being able to stay at such a Beautiful and welcoming hotel allows you to fully appreciate the city it is in. Certainly, in this situation, where it is the middle of winter having a luxurious place to return to after a day of exploring is always a great comfort. This is especially true when the service and the team at the Tasman is effortless and seamless."

"The view from the room was stunning with a lovely bed and bathroom. The staff were attentive and quick. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and beautiful. If I could offer one warning, it seems like they only offer a la carte breakfast on the weekdays. To go from a virtually limitless buffet one day to an extremely limited menu the next day was jarring."

"Beautiful new hotel. Very clean. Staff were wonderful, friendly and accommodating. Even came out to help me with my bags from the taxi and serve me a warm totti on check in. Breakfast was spot on, eggs cooked beautifully and everything on the buffet was immaculately presented, lots of selections. You won’t go hungry. Great location. One of the best places to stay in Hobart, would definitely come back."
