"Of course I am biased, since it's my local gym, but anyway I still think its one of the best. Plenty of autobelays if you don't have a belayer. Freindly staff and good coffee. A fun boudering area that regularly changes and a good lead wall. What more do you need! Right in the centre of Hobart, very resonably priced and you can hire all the gear you need. It's kid, dog and beginner freindly. With a good mix of climbs for all levels. They also have some tunnels for when you get too pumped to climb. Definitely check Rock it out if you are in Hobart."
"First day of holidays, almost had the place to ourselves till around 11am! The kids LOVED it! They spent as much time in the tunnels as climbing. Money well spent, and an area for parents to sit & keep an eye on things (I'd recommend bringing warm clothes & a jacket if you're a spectator, as there's no heating in there). Great little Cafe serving basics, and super helpful, friendly staff. Can't comment on the "grown-ups" area, sorry...I was with a bunch of 10-12yr olds."
"I've been climbing at rockit for years and enjoy it so much. The atmosphere and community are great. I would definitely recommend the classes for anyone with kids who love climbing, the coaches are great and super helpful. Looking forward to also trying the new gym out at Derwent Park soon too!"
"Kids had a ball. They loved the kids free rope climbing and the kids tunnels. My 5 year old couldn’t get up most of the trap doors maybe make them bigger than a 3 year old size. The rock climbing was great. The staff was friendly & nice. It was the first time entering the place so I had to fill out a waver form for my youngest 2 kids. To go rock climbing you will need to also hire a harness what costs $6. They also have two party rooms for the kids. There was a party on when I was there and it looked well set up with an assistant staff member to monitor the kids and to look after them. It’s changed names number is of times, at the present it’s looking okay set up, the building is very old, maybe a extra signage out the front would help with people who can’t access, Google Maps or navigation system. The cafeteria was nice clothing, coffees, soft drinks, toastie‘s and confectionery for the young ones nice rest areas including clean, toilets, lockers, and drawers and cupboards to put your bags and boots in with security cameras, watching them 24/7. I’m racing at four stars. Kids had a ball. I didn’t mind a rock climb after 10 years."
"Coming here and climbing definitely is one of my best things in this year. Thanks my colleague Stan for introducing me to climbing! This is my thing. I have had wonderful time here with my friends! Staffs are so nice and friendly! I also met a lot of beautiful people, Roxy, Emma, Lisa, Alice, Greg. And so many names I don’t know how to spell. I wished I could say goodbye and take photos with you. And I was hoping I would come back and see you all here! I will keep climbing in the future. I will miss you.❤️ btw I made it on difficulty 17!!"
