Welcome to the Outpatient Clinics in Hobart, Australia! Located at 42 Argyle Street, our establishment is a point of interest in the health sector. In light of the current COVID-19 situation, we want to assure you that Tasmania's risk level is currently classified as MODERATE.
At our Outpatient Clinics, we have appointed experienced General Practitioners (GPs) as GPLOs (General Practice Liaison Officers) who are dedicated to improving communication between acute/sub-acute services and the community. Our main goal is to ensure a smooth and seamless journey for our patients across different sectors of healthcare.
To achieve this, our General Practice and Primary Care Unit works diligently to coordinate consultations and collaborations among Tasmania's GPLO resources. This approach ensures a statewide perspective and consistent focus, resulting in patients having equal access to services throughout the region.
As outlined in Tasmania's Delivering Safe and Sustainable Clinical Services White Paper, we believe that the primary health sector in both urban and rural/regional settings can be significantly strengthened. By utilizing our service locator, you can easily find a hospital or state-funded service that meets your specific needs.

"Those girls at the Eye Clinic Reception are true ambassadors to the clinic. They work under immense pressure but always still manage to take the time to deal with everyone as an individual. Well done team and keep up the fantastic work."
"Every. Single. Time. I have an appointment at this womens clinic- which has been a lot as i am on a waiting list for a 30min procedure and have been waiting for nearly a YEAR- they are running late. THEY ALWAYS LEAVE YOU WAITING, I HAVE HAD APPOINTMENTS AT 9.05AM That have still left me waiting til 930, for no reason, everyone just seems to wander around without trying to speed up the process or be efficient. I tried calling at 450pm once to ask about an update and the phone message told me they were closed- between 9am-5pm business hours. This is the WORST clinic in AUSTRALIA- as far as wait times go, that i have ever had to attend. These guys need to pick up their game. I HATE that there is no other option and women are forced to put up with this garbage."
"Such a nice, clean place. Went for a tooth removal with Marcus Barton (best dentist in Hobart) and walked right in and straight to the appointment. If you're going for something general and just in the public section of course there'll be a wait. It's in the middle of a capital city I mean what can you expect. I personally had a great experience"
"Two weeks ago my husband had an appointment at this clinic. Only one lift was working and there was quite a queue of people waiting to get up to Level 9 ! Even though we were there 20 minutes before the appointment time, it took a good 30 minutes to actually reach Level 9. Following that appointment we discovered he has a further appointment tomorrow (july 4) - he's not sure what for, as nothing was mentioned last time! He has been trying since 9.00 am this morning to speak to someone about cancelling or rescheduling this appointment but has been unable to get through. With a fulltime job to attend to it's not possible to continually place calls which are not getting through. If by some remote chance someone from the clinic reads this, please notify the relevant person that Mr Reardon is unable to attend tomorrow!!!"
