We are excited to announce that students from Hobart City High School will be enrolling with our team of course counselors on August 24th and 25th at Hobart City High School. These students will not be required to attend the enrollment sessions that we have outlined below.
For all other students, we invite you to join us for our enrollment sessions in the Elizabeth College Library. Additionally, if you want to learn more about the exciting offerings and programs we have available, visit our enrollment information page.
We are looking forward to working with you to complete your enrollment for 2024 over the next term. To give you a better understanding of our campus and what we have to offer, we will be running campus tours on selected Tuesday afternoons starting at 3:00 pm in Term 3. This will be a fantastic opportunity for you to see our campus, visit specialized subject areas, meet our leadership team, and chat with students and teaching staff. Remember to make a booking as they are essential and can be made on our website.
At Elizabeth College, we believe in continuous improvement and ensuring the best outcomes possible for our students. Our Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) have been working collaboratively, using evidence to make informed decisions. We understand that working in teams builds collective capacity and improves student learning outcomes. As a staff, we recently met to check in on team progress and are committed to our continuous improvement agenda.
We would like to express our gratitude to our parents/carers for helping us ensure our students are connected and on track, and to our students for always doing their best. We encourage all students to attend subject tutorials for additional help with assignments and tasks. Please refer to the Tutorial Timetable to see when tutorials for various subjects are running throughout the week.
Science Week at Elizabeth College is always a highlight, and this year is no exception. From August 14th to 18th, we have a range of activities and workshops for primary school students, including Rocket Cars and Science you can Eat! Our Year 9 students will also have the opportunity to join our college students in various workshops, exploring topics such as turning copper into gold, marble waterslides, and electronic party lights. The week will culminate with our college students attending the Festival of Bright Ideas, where they can engage with STEM knowledge and skills across a wide range of Tasmanian businesses, industries, and educational institutions.
Enrollments for Enrichment Block 2 are now open and will close on July 7th at 3 pm. Block 2 starts on July 24th, so make sure to check out the program offerings and enroll in Home Group or via the Student Intranet. Students are welcome to enroll in more than one activity.
