About the Business
Welcome to Beaudesert Hospital, a modern rural health care facility located in Queensland's beautiful Scenic Rim region. Our hospital has a long-standing history of providing exceptional health care services to the local community, and we are proud to continue this tradition today.
At Beaudesert Hospital, we offer a wide range of specialties to meet the diverse needs of our patients. Our team of dedicated professionals is committed to delivering high-quality care, including surgical procedures and birthing services. We understand the importance of having access to comprehensive medical care close to home, and we strive to make sure our community has the services they need.
As part of our commitment to supporting the local First Nations community, we recently honored senior physiotherapist Brett Jones with a special gift. In recognition of his dedication and support, he was presented with a newly crafted version of an ancient weapon. This gesture highlights our appreciation for the First Nations' support staff and their contributions to our hospital.
We are also pleased to announce the completion of our newly redesigned carpark, which makes accessing our hospital even more convenient for our patients and visitors. With additional priority car parks now available, we aim to ensure that everyone can easily access the care they require.
As we bid farewell to Stephen Condon, our Senior Pharmacy Assistant, after 15 years of dedicated service, we are reminded of the valuable contributions our staff make to our hospital. Stephen's retirement will allow him to enjoy well-deserved rest, travel, and home repairs, and he will be greatly missed by our Beaudesert Hospital family.
We are excited to introduce David Bestmann, our new Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Hospital Liaison Officer. Known as the 'Deadliest' wardie to ever walk the wards of Beaudesert Hospital, David brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role. He will play a vital role in supporting our Indigenous patients and ensuring culturally appropriate care is delivered.
Beaudesert Hospital is proud to be recognized for providing positive practice environments for nurses and midwives under the Pathway to Excellence® program. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive workplace where our healthcare professionals can thrive and provide the best possible care to our patients.
Lastly, we would like to acknowledge the traditional land owners of Australia and extend a warm welcome to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to our service. We are committed to reconciliation and invite you to read our Statement of Commitment to learn more about our dedication to fostering a respectful and inclusive healthcare environment.
Thank you for choosing Beaudesert Hospital. We are honored to be your trusted healthcare provider in the Scenic Rim region.

"My mum had a huge skin tear after walking into a log..Dr Tim and Triarge nurse Jodie were amazing..we were seen immediately and out with in an hour stitched up and sent home to heal..thank you so very much great job..."
"I Attended Beaudesert hospital emergency department at 9pm on a Saturday night with a fractured rib and severe chest pain. I would have gone to my GP but it’s Saturday night and they’re closed right??!! I waited an hour to be seen, they were rude, wanted to do random blood tests, urine tests, stool tests and want me to do breathing exercise’s with a physio ( also closed on a Saturday night), the tests were time consuming and unnecessary for a rib fracture. An X-ray and some analgesia would have been fine until I seen my GP on Monday, but they did not want to do either of those things so I left without being seen as I was more comfortable at home laying in bed than sitting in a plastic chair in a hospital, with rude, dismissive careless staff that refused to listen or treat my symptoms! 0/10! Do not recommend! I just hope I haven’t punctured a lung, regardless I don’t think they would be too concerned! Very disappointing!!"
"Having just spent time on Boxing Day in Emergency, I cannot fault the staff, thoroughness, friendliness and professionalism. Although my symptoms turned out to be a false alarm, I could not have asked for better treatment. Not once was i made to feel I was wasting their time. Thank you Doctor Cass, and admin staff and nurses."
"Spent half an hour waiting for triage nurse with a general but not visible emergency. Emergency department should respond to actual emergencies, after all it's not supposed to be an after hours doctor service."
