"My wife and I made the MISTAKE of eating here. I ordered the "seafood spaghetti marinara" and my wife another dish with octopus and various other seafood. I paid $12.50 for a CAN of beer. As soon as the food was delivered to us, all I could smell was OLD or FROZEN seafood, PUTRID. I do not understand why you would be serving FROZEN/OLD seafood when you have SAME DAY FRESHNESS available to your resteraunt a few hundred meters away. The muscles were luke warm at best, the prawns were EXTREMELY tough, the calamari was like chewing on a piece of rubber and the fish was just not nice at all. My wife had the exact same complaints with her seafood, octopus etc. There is so much going on in their sauces to (I assume) attempt to cover the foul taste and smell that protrudes from their seafood dishes, Not to mention the chips that our son ordered were so salty they were borderline inedible. What an absolute WASTE of $110. As you can see from the photos, We ate maybe 1/5th of our meals before we decided to just pay and leave. Disgusting."
"Love the food and service. It's been almost a week ago we went there. The food is so tasty and i would like to say they have a wonderful service.Highly recommended."
"If you get a kick out of places that are a bit pretentious, you'll like it here. Food and service in general is good but I'm just not one for this sort of venue where everything on the menu needs google translate to decipher. Always game to try something new, but I'll personally stick to the nearby Da Angelo Ristorante for my Italian."
"Following a recommendation from a friend, I stopped for lunch on my way to the airport. I was in Hobart for work. I visited Hobart few times before, regrettably never visited this place. I'm glad I managed to visit this time and let me tell you, they didn't disappoint. The marinara I had was divine, although it wasn't easy to pick from the menu, with the special of the day very inviting. Lovely staff, the whole experience was fantastic. I'm having trouble with my list of top places for having lunch/dinner in Hobart, Maldini is definitely up there. I recommend this place, and I would definitely be going back on my next trip to Hobart."
