"My adult granddaughter asked for a smoothie and ordered for me a ham, cheese and tomato toastie. My sandwich took 20 minutes which was not a problem as it was pleasant sitting in the sun and we weren’t in a hurry. My granddaughter’s name was called, she collected my sandwich and we moved to a table further away. I took a bite of the sandwich to find it was a chicken and avo one, but decided to eat it rather than return it. At that point we could see an angry looking woman walking toward us calling out that we had picked up the wrong order. We hadn’t noticed the name on the bag so she jabbed her finger at it and shouted “Is your name Sarah? No it isn’t! Can’t you read!! And you have started eating it!” She threw down another sandwich, grabbed the one in front of me, scrunched it up and stalked off muttering, leaving us stunned. As it happened the tomato was missing from the “correct” sandwich. We won’t be returning, for fear of encountering her again."
"Very expensive, be nice to have some food with all the salt, Hamburger and chips does not mean smiths crisps out of a bag. Granddaughter wanted ice cream after lunch $9 for a cup, i had $8.90 in change. Wouldn't discount 10 cents. Been there done that, not again"
"Unique little Cafe interested us. Good menu and quite a few customers were frequenting it. Sadly, our coffees were burnt, bitter and had to be binned. Fish & chips were a disappointment, with one of 2 fish pieces tasting very "fishy". Chips were just ok. Sadly, I've left a review which I'd prefer was positive ..."
"It doesn't look like much but I was surprised by this shipping container! I dismissed it at first, but after I asked locals blocks away where they got their coffee from and was told Whispers, I gave it a go! Delicious coffee. And great location, right next to the park and ferry terminal. My only watch-out is that babyccinos are $3.50, which is steep for steamed milk. Most likely a next-to-the-park surcharge."
"Our first time here. I was so happy to see this cafe! Last time we came to the park after catching the ferry over from Newcastle, there was no cafe and we were saying how much the park needed one. The customer service from Chloe and Lewis today was 10/10!!!! Well done. They went above and beyond to give us a pleasurable experience."
