"The customer service could be much better, I asked a lady working (while another lady working was chatting to her partner at the counter, not one of the workers approached us to help). If they sell pleasure toys as my older sister who has a disability was hoping to make a purchase. The lady looked quite disgusted that I even asked this question and told us that they don’t sell those things within their stores, she didn’t give us any recommendations of where to go and was quite quick to go back to what she was doing, leaving us feeling ashamed. This was a really disappointing experience. After relaying this story back to many girls I know, a lot of women thought the same thing and we shouldn’t had to have felt ashamed for asking a question. Honey birdette helped us afterwards and I would rate them more than five stars as we left feeling safe, empowered and educated."

"Visited the store today with such excitement to get my first fitting since having a breast augmentation. My doctor has stated I am allowed to be fitted for underwire bras but not to wear them for another week or two. I was wanting to buy some ahead of time due to my busy work schedule and the staff member denied offering me a fitting for a wired bra and said they aren’t allowed to because I hadn’t been cleared (although I tried to explain I had). The staff member asked what size I would be, and what size I thought I would be (she asked 3 times), I didnt have a clue as I’ve had surgery and that’s why I was requesting a fitting. I left feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. In my opinion, if you work in lingerie stores, I would expect the staff to make customers feel sexy & empowered. Safe to say I went straight to HB, where the lovely ladies welcomed me with a glass of bubbles and spent 45 minutes getting me into a style I like. $400 later…. Such a shame as I’ve always supported bras n things and just feel that the customer service is lacking."

"I am highly ashamed to know I have supported this business previously only to find out that the store manager felt it was okay to comment on a young teenage girls stretch marks. I don’t even care the context of what of why it was said, the simple fact is the lady had no right to make ANY form of comment. This was also the young ladies first ever fitting that she had done, I’d be surprised if she ever wanted to get fitted again. This is appalling and something definitely needs to be done about this. The young lady is now scarred from an experience that will l stay with her for the rest of her life. Unfortunately the store manager has stolen an experience from this young lady and nothing can or will ever change that for her. Maybe the store manager should have taken maternity leave a while ago before she let her pregnancy hormones take over her mouth. Disgusted and appalled from this experience myself and will never allow any of my 3 daughter to take the chance to be judged from anyone in this shop. So Bras N Things Charlestown you have now lost 4 customers just from one family that would regularly spend $$ in-store regularly. The pregnant store manager should be ashamed of herself and I really hope she reads this as she really needs to know how damaging her words were to a young girl."
