"I had a terrible experience. All the rooms were humid and the air conditioner was dirty. And there was mold in the bathroom, and when I opened the window, flies and bugs came in, so I couldn't open the door. My family wants to stay for 3 days and throw away the trash, so I asked the reception on the 1st floor and they told me to throw it in the trash can outside. My family was embarrassed and I found the trash room myself. It was really terrible because I think I experienced the level of a motel in Korea in 1970, not a four-star hotel. I didn't expect the kindness of the staff, but I was worried about the attitude of not wanting to work while working for wages. My family will never go again."
"Found this apartment to be roomy and well equipped. Facility had a great pool and was located close to the light rail, bars and cafes and just a street away from access to the beach board walk, which was great for those morning walks. Newcastle is a quiet city but a pretty one."
"Save yourself and DO NOT book here! The apartment we got, looked nothing like the pictures. The stove in the kitchen didn’t work properly and it took us over an hour an a half to cook our lunch. The hygiene was not great either. The room I stayed in had a stick on nail on the floor probably left by someone who was in the room previously. The mirrors were grimy & so was the bathroom. During lunch time there were a couple of kids in the pool making noise and our tv was on a reasonable noise level. We got a call saying if we don’t keep the noise down they will kick us out as someone had complained. We tried to explain we weren’t making noise it was people at the pool. After that some of us went to enjoy the pool and the lady staying above us started asking us what we’re doing in the pool and told us we should go inside. Then my friends and I were doing a mini bbq in our balcony when the same lady started yelling at us to shut up. We were not loud just engaging in regular conversation. We ended up having to whisper as we got worried they might tell us to leave and we would have no where to go. The reception staff were also extremely rude and not helpful. We visited here with family from America and it was so embarrassing. There was so many access issues as you need so many different codes to access the apartment, the lifts and the parking. Would 100% not recommend, if I could give minus stars I would ."
"My mother a pensioner stayed at your establishment due to the department of housing renovating her apartment. To say that the lack of human dignity displayed by both the department and your business was poor is an understatement. Being forced to leave ones house for many weeks is stressful enough, as an aged pensioner being asked to vacate on at least 3 occasions and having to change rooms to a smaller room due to a car race, then being sent a text to vacate is not what i call good customer relations. Granted the booking may have been coming to an end but a little compassion might have been in order here. I understand that you communicate by text in these instances, well as a 75 year old pensioner who has been displaced for no fault of their own being told by text that have to vacate immediately is stressful. I will be taking this up with the department as well. How dare you treat people this way, next time I hope you afford any guest with compassion. You may wish to have a policy to discuss it with the booking agency before issuing a vacate immediately notice. I will say that your maintenance staff did help my mother pack up her belongings and move to the smaller room, so for that I thank you. the question I have is why did she need to move. Surely being there for 5-6 weeks in a stint then being told when you are out of the premises that you need to change rooms immediately is I believe very bad service . I hope you read this as I hate to think anyone else would be treated the same way, but reading another comment on here it seems thats normal."
"Rooms need a good clean every now and then (not just making a bed an vacuuming the floor). There was an inch of dust under the coffee table. Windows (inside and out) can do with a clean as well. Service is pretty average. Only one person on at the counter and not a lot of communication or assistance there either. It all seems a bit hard really. Weird thing is.... There is no signage ANYWHERE to say Honeysuckle apartments, until you are actually in the building itself (then there are a couple of small A4 signs. Location is lovely... Like I said, just needs a good clean and a shakeup at the front counter and it would be awesome."
