"If I could give zero rating, I would. As a tourist, I looked for wheelchair accessible cafe to have lunch. I called ahead to confirm the venue was wheelchair accessible and was assured it was. It isn't. If you need a level disability parking space for your car wheelchair plate, this isn't the place for you. The slope engages the safety mechanism for uneven ground. The available disability car spaces don't allow for passenger exits as the spaces abut a wooden ramp and are standard size spaces, so unsafe to alight a vehicle if driving. Impossible to alight as a wheelchair using passenger. In the so called 'wheelchair friendly' eating area, the chairs are left tilted towards the tables with chair legs sticking out so anyone in a wheelchair needs an able bodied person to clear the way. To order food, the ramp is ok but then you have to navigate entry to a narrow balcony with a pot plant and tables and chairs blocking adequate access to get to the counter to order food. Except, there's also a step which you have to wheelie tip your chair over to get to into the space where you order food. So that's unsafe too. When questioned how anyone in a wheelchair without a carer with them could order food, staff responded they'd take an order and bring food down. No offer to do so despite me raising the multiple barriers for wheelchair users to access their venue. I'm not confident staff would even know there was a wheelchair using customer as they stay upstairs. Unless you called them to order. Other able bodied patrons collected trays of food to bring downstairs where the 'disabled access' eating area is. food is collected from the inaccessible counter and you bring your own tray down. This is an ableist establishment. Clearly, no thought or consultation with wheelchair users before advertising wheelchair access. We left and went elsewhere. Zero stars. Avoid if you have mobility accomodation needs."
"Come for a 16th birthday, had band running on and off sound test (fairly loud) from 7pm until they started playing at 8pm. Food was horrible chef got angry when I took the food back for being extremely dry and hard ( Braised good should never turn out dry and hard ) plus don't get mad because your food is bad."
"Won’t ever be stepping inside this place again and definitely would not recommend. Went there last night for a family birthday celebration and was shown to a room which was like stepping into a fridge. A large lounge on one side of the table which which a very large part of the leather was completely ripped open, the other side had uncomfortable metal chairs. Crumbs and chips under the table proving that cleaning is not a top priority. Went upstairs to the girl who shows you to your table and asked why we were put down in a room like this. Her answer was because there was a function on, my reply was it would have been good to be told about this when the booking was made. No comment. Air con was put on for us but made not a lot of difference. She showed no interest whatsoever and when l told her about the lounge her reply was what would you like, not l will get something to put over it sorry about that. Was given some blankets to put over the hole at least. Menu was made up of fried food and stodgy pasta and needs updating with better food. No one came down the whole time we where there to clear away anything. I ended up doing it myself and putting all the used plates etc on another table. Staff no interest at all in customer service, food boring and cleanliness not important. Made us laugh when ordering on our phones it asked if we would like to leave a tip….ah no thanks."
"Customer service was absolutely trash! my partner and myself had a reservation for 8:15pm, walked in to only get greeted with ‘do you guys have a reservation’ she then continued to just tell us to sit anywhere and order by the QR code, she then kept going and told us that we need to be quick if we are ordering from the bistro as it was about to close.. (why let reservations book late then) ordered our dinner via QR code & got a message to say it was ready, poor customer service. had to get out own cutlery and bring our own food up.. half way thru out meals a tall black hair lady approached us and told us if we wanted anymore drinks go attend the bar now as they where closing (8:45) as far as i was concerned they don’t close until 9. Left bistro very unappreciative, attitude and highly disrespectful staff"
"We held a 50th birthday party in the “Do Room” over the weekend. The event staff (particularly Anna) went above and beyond to make sure the evening was a success. It was a lovely and relaxed venue, and the food was great. I heard multiple people talking about how they enjoyed both the beef and the chicken. Personally, I had the beef, and it was melt in your mouth tender. Thank you for the amazing night, and I will definitely be recommending this place to others as a great party venue…"
