"I went for a consultation with James to see what designs we can do as well as to see what day he can fit me in. I asked him if we can do a sketch of the tattoo with ideas that i told him and he told me that he “doesn’t want to waste his time with me” if I don’t book for the tattoo. I asked for a consultation with him specifically because i wanted HIM to do the tattoo. After he said that, i know that I would never want him to do any of my tattoos. If he needed a consultation fee for the tattoo, I would have been more than happy to do that but he never mentioned it. In addition, he told me to look at exact photos online of what i wanted so he can copy it. The whole point of the consultation is that I wanted an original piece. He told us to go to the studio for a consultation when he could have said all of this on the phone. Completely appalled by his lazy attitude and zero people skills."
"Colours of the Bay Tattoo studio in Nelson Bay is a great place to get a tattoo. After 62 years I received my first tattoo from here after my son died in a motorcycle accident. I was treated with great respect and after my first tattoo to commemorate my son I have since had 3 more done, all of them tributes to my son and family. Dan did a fantastic job of my tattoos and I am really happy, as are the rest of my family. Everyone here are all friendly, professional and Dan, who did all my tattoos, is a very talented and gifted artist."
