"I can't speak highly enough of Dr Steve, Dr Hedges and their team. I reached out to Dr Steve after quite a few child losses and finding he was a highly experienced excision specialist after a bout of frustrating research. I have stage IV Endometriosis and after surgery with Steve he excised what he could and even found adonmyosis, something I knew nothing of from a previous surgery with another specialist. I went through a few egg collections, embryo transfers and protocols over time, even did a few months of zoladex injections. Not only Steve but Naomi his nurse, the sonographers and experienced office staff are so warm and kind. It would be such a bitter sweet profession working with so much emotion, as patients we're sad, we're frustrated, we're angry, we're anxious, we want answers, we want our babies and we want to be pain free. Coming in on a daily basis would be tough but i want to thank this crew for what they do each and every day, it wouldn't be easy and your good work does not go unnoticed. One thing I'll never forget is how genuine and kind Steve was if I had a loss, he would call and see if I was ok when he didn't need too. I remember questioning a particular drug (estrogen tablets) in our last protocol as I read it can feed endometriosis. We got rid of this and tweaked my next protocol and I'm now looking at my baby girl. Was it the removal of this particular drug, I'll never know, but one thing I do know is that I felt heard. Thankyou for your service, each and every one of you."
"Two years ago Dr Raymond removed my right ovary. A year after I underwent a hysterectomy. In March 2016 little did I know my life would never be the same, in every aspect. Physically, emotionally, mentally. I understand these procedures are done everyday. I understand everyone reacts differently. What I don’t understand is how something so traumatic and life changing is done and treated as a routine. A procedure. With nothing attached to it. I have been struggling for two years, to the point where I am about to be hospitalised. I have developed an autoimmune condition which they believe is part of the stress the hormonal imbalance had on my body. I have lost 60% of my hair and am now wearing a wig. I am clouded with brain fog, emotions, fears all day, every day. I am losing my memory. I have 3 young children I am finding it difficult to care for. I am unable to excel in my career which was at its peak. While I understand Dr Raymond couldn’t have “predicted” this, what I don’t understand is how I was discarded with no further support, no empathy, no help to source doctors to control my hormonal imbalance. My life ended at 34 years, and life will never be as I know it. And my life was and still is in the hands of Dr Raymond. If my life ended today it could in many aspects be attributed to this procedure and the lack of care afterwards. Instead of proceeding with anything legally, I am going to try and be a voice for other women in their 30s whose lives have been ruined by not just a hysterectomy, but by dismissive doctors. Doctors that can leave you in isolation as your life crumbles around you. I was a healthy, happy and thriving woman 3 years ago."
"I found Dr Raymond to be very knowledgeable and switched on remembering me and my problems between my pregnancies even though more then a year had passed since I last saw him. I found him to be reserved the first time I met him, but during my second pregnancy he was much more open and friendly."
"I can not speak highly enough of this service. I went to Dr Raymond's rooms after having a horrible experience at a local radiology in Newcastle (they said I had one baby but infact I could have had twins or triplets at that stage). The sonographer at Dr Raymond's was knowledgable and very experienced. I am due a scan soon and my husband asked "are we going to the good place?". Speaks for itself really"
"I didn't like him, as he told me I was infertile and that there was absolutely no treatment for it. I however got a second opinion from another specialist in Newcastle who advised me that my infertility could be corrected (and yes, this other specialist amended my infertility). I was quite upset that Steve Raymond can't diagnose patients properly, let alone provide them with the correct advice. I suggest to keep away from Steve Raymond - he really doesn't know that much."
