About the Business
Welcome to SeeChange Therapy, a leading establishment in health and a point of interest located in Warabrook, Rosegum Road, 23 in Australia. If you're in need of funding assistance, we are here to support your family every step of the way.
At SeeChange Therapy, our primary focus is not only on the child but also on those surrounding the child. We provide a wide range of therapeutic services that empower families, because we believe that when the adults supporting a child have the knowledge and skills to assist in building meaningful relationships, the entire family can become more engaged and create richer connections within the community.
Our dedicated multidisciplinary team works closely with families to set meaningful goals and collaborates towards achieving positive outcomes for all involved. We offer in-home, in-clinic, and community-based therapy services in Newcastle, NSW. Our specialization lies in working with whole families to create a consistent approach, as we firmly believe that when key adults such as parents/caregivers and educators are empowered to become part of the therapeutic team, the child receives enhanced developmental support. This, in turn, leads to improved learning abilities, social and communication skills, and more meaningful relationships for children.
We are a team of highly skilled and experienced professionals in Newcastle who are committed to supporting families and individuals in their journey towards support, learning, development, and inclusion. Our wide array of assessments and therapeutic services are tailored to the specific needs and goals of our clients. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or a family member, you can expect to develop genuine, high-quality relationships with our dedicated practitioners and administrative team.
At SeeChange Therapy, we understand that every family has unique circumstances. That's why we take the time to listen and understand throughout the entire therapeutic journey. We even offer an optional informal free 15-minute phone conversation with a senior clinician before your first intake appointment.
To begin your relationship journey with us, you can either call us or attend one of our fortnightly drop-in sessions. These sessions provide you with the first opportunity to discuss your concerns openly. Following this, an intake meeting will be scheduled to gather information more comprehensively. SeeChange Therapy aims to support families through these critical first steps in identifying and understanding the key goals you wish to achieve.
After the initial intake, we may conduct a formal assessment using standardized assessment tools or an informal assessment involving interviews and observations. This helps us identify the most suitable services and therapy program for you or your child. With your approval, our multidisciplinary team will discuss which assessments are most relevant and organize them accordingly. This may include drawing on multiple services to best suit your family's needs, such as an Occupational Therapy Assessment, a Social Communication Assessment, a Cognitive Assessment, or a Comprehensive Assessment.
Once the assessments and further discussions are completed, your lead practitioner will collaboratively build an individualized therapy program based on your child's current skills and desired goals to promote inclusion and connection. We offer therapies that can be delivered in-home, in the community, or in the clinic to ensure your child has the support they need and will benefit from the most.
We understand that finding reliable information to understand your child's unique development can be challenging. That's why we offer fortnightly free, no-strings-attached drop-in sessions designed for parents/caregivers to come in and have an informal chat with one of our experienced therapists. This provides an opportunity for you to openly discuss your concerns, seek information, and receive support regarding the services that could be best suited for your child and family.
At SeeChange Therapy, we acknowledge the rewards and unique challenges that come with neurodiversity, as they shape relationships for our clients with their family, friends, and members of the community. We empathize with families and understand the frustration and feelings of isolation that can come with caring for a child with additional needs. We firmly believe that it is a shared responsibility to create environments where neurodivergent children can flourish. This begins with fostering authentic relationships within a child's support network and ensuring that these relationships are built on understanding, empowerment, and acceptance. SeeChange Therapy aims to collaborate with families and connect with other services to create a new way of being in our community where everyone is truly valued.
Lastly, SeeChange Therapy acknowledges that our practitioners, children, and families gather, play, and learn on Awabakal Country. We pay our respects to the Elders, both past and present, and recognize the Awabakal people as the Traditional Custodians of this land. We actively participate in truth telling and support the Uluru Statement in its entirety. We appreciate and value the sharing of cultural knowledge and stories from our Aboriginal community, and we recognize their continuing connection to the land. We are committed to developing our own connection to the land as well.
At SeeChange Therapy, we are here to support you and your family on your journey towards growth, development, and inclusion. Contact us today to begin your relationship journey with us.
